What's wrong with your house smelling like curry? It's delicious. Better than smelling of hamberders and old man farts.

He only thought it was a fart. Not the first time for this error.

Yeah, I can't even begin to imagine the smells Biden had to deal with right after moving in.

Oh man I forgot about this too...

[–] zarkanian@sh.itjust.works 6 points 5 days ago

Seriously, if Trump isn't the biggest argument against American exceptionalism, I don't know what is. The fact that anybody could call the US "the greatest nation on Earth" after he was president is absurd.

I love the smell of good food when I'm hungry, not so much when I'm not.

"This does not represent President Tr×mp"

Honey. C'mon.

The sentence structure is too coherent.

If you're a racist it's occasionally useful to throw another, more obvious racist under the bus to build up your own cover.

Fuck both these people.

[–] jubilationtcornpone@sh.itjust.works 118 points 5 days ago (1 children)

This particular stopped clock just happens to be opportunistic.

[–] myster0n@feddit.nl 85 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Or maybe she meant "I agree, but don't post that where EVERYONE can read it!"

[–] mosiacmango@lemm.ee 46 points 5 days ago

Yeah, somehow I expect the "Jews have space lasers they use to start forest fires" lady aint a paragon of virtue here.

Exactly 0% chance MTG wrote that herself.

[–] Jiggle_Physics@lemmy.world 15 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Yeah, an intern was told make a statement condemning the tweet, as it is just a little too overtly racist

[–] sik0fewl@lemmy.ca 8 points 4 days ago

The problem was that she used the regular whistle.

[–] Adderbox76@lemmy.ca 53 points 5 days ago (2 children)

It absolutely represents both Trump and MAGA.

What this is is MTG seeing the potential writing on the wall and slowly trying to sneak her way into more normal speak so she doesn't get fucking tossed out the door on her ass with the rest of them if Kamala wins and the "normal" republicans begin to purge their party of MAGA losers.

She's essentially thinking "I'd better start toning down my shit, just in case."

I'm going to need a source that MTG called out racism. That is some alternate dimension shit. The only reason I can think of is that maybe because the racism specifically was about Indians and JDs wife is Indian or she has a significant Indian population in her district. That is the only way this makes sense.

[–] Marthirial@lemmy.world 26 points 5 days ago

Right? It is like a hacktivist group took over her account to make her look sane and decent just for the lulz.

Read the first post on the feed.
I agree with MTG.
Well this is weird, I should go back to sleep.

It does absolutely represent Trump and Republicans though

[–] njm1314@lemmy.world 62 points 5 days ago (2 children)

Goddamn but I never thought I'd live to see this line. The line that is too far for her. I really hope I'd be dead by now. I don't want to live in a world where she's not the furthest most extreme crazy I can think of. Sometimes you live too long.

[–] Test_Tickles@lemmynsfw.com 15 points 5 days ago

Ya, we haven't even gotten close to that line for her. This is a staged attempt of her white washing her and the GOPs reputation. She can now point to this when people say she is racist and "look at how I called out racism".
The ridiculous part is just how overt and gross the racism had to be for it to even be slightly plausible that she would be offended by it.

[–] HomerianSymphony@lemmy.world 17 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago) (1 children)

The line that is too far for her.

It’s outside the Overton window right now, but get ready for it to be normal and mainstream in another five years.

Considering that Trump and Loomer were chilling together before and after the debate, I'm pretty sure that they share a lot in common.

[–] TheSlad@sh.itjust.works 34 points 5 days ago (1 children)

"Hey Laura can you tweet something absolutely insanely racist about Kamala so I can publicly call you out so that people won't think im the crazy one?"

"Sure thing fam I was probably gonna do that anyways lol"

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 12 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I don't think its that. Laura Loomer has been getting deeper and deeper into Trump's inner circle for the length of the campaign.

Meanwhile, MTG has been ostracized by the House GOP leadership.

This is just an insider-vs-outsider spat.

[–] Zeppo@sh.itjust.works 5 points 4 days ago

Trump mentioned her as a potential White House press secretary, which of course is horrifying.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 16 points 5 days ago

Even in her admonishments to other people, she sets aside a little time to kiss Trump's ass and make sure he knows she loves him. Get your own fucking identity, weirdo!

[–] Gullible@sh.itjust.works 29 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago) (3 children)

the White House will smell like curry

Like, the whole building? The entire 55000 square foot structure including meeting rooms, studios, gardens, sex dungeons, document store rooms, janitor’s closets, tailor suites, all of it?

[–] RedStrider@lemmy.world 25 points 5 days ago (1 children)

The moment Kamala enters the white house, a 400 foot energy field envelops the entire building. Normal people would be shocked, perhaps even a little afraid, but this is Washington. A curious bystander sniffs the air outside. My god. It's curry.

[–] BeigeAgenda@lemmy.ca 15 points 5 days ago

The staff can play "is it curry" when everything in the white house is transmuted into curry

[–] TheBat@lemmy.world 14 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Tell me more about these sex dungeons in White House

Kinda sounds awesome, not gonna lie. Who doesn't like the smell of curry?

Unrelated, you're a dick - I spent a good minute or so wondering when we started federating with Threads.

Wow, not american but i've heard so much shit on MTG, and to think even MTG and MAGA trying to hit the brake, am surprised.

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 30 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago) (1 children)

The thing about the far right is it tends to get out of control and ends up eating its own. Politicians give it momentum and by the time they want to put the brakes on, it's no longer theirs to stop.

Probably trying to do damage control after the debate. She's a pawn for don cheeto, nothing more.

[–] Annoyed_Crabby@monyet.cc 9 points 5 days ago

Yeah, seeing trump trying to distance himself from project 2025, kinda telling they're now changing their non-existing facade.

I was going to say I agree with her but I realized I can't.

She is right it is racist but it is certainly not above Republicans nor Trump to be openly racist.

I was so sure this was satirical

Idk, Trump eats his steak well done w/ ketchup, so I wouldn't be surprised if the food he likes is incredibly bland compared to what Kamala Harris likes. I'm guessing she's also a fan of jerk and other Carribean foods, since her dad is Jamaican, so I'd much rather attend a dinner hosted by Harris than Trump.

Also, if liking curry is a bad thing, then what does that mean for Vivek Ramiswamy? It seems he's trying to place himself as the successor to Trump.

So yeah, not sure how this was intended to be offensive. Curry is delicious, and Indian people rock (I work with several). And with Trump, I need a translator to understand what he's trying to say anyway since he rambles so much and can't seem to stick to any particular position.

[–] Snapz@lemmy.world 16 points 5 days ago

I"t does not represent THE THINGS WE SAY OUT LOUD AND ON THE RECORD, except for when it does because we actually do that more often now"

-marge green's first draft

[–] Omgboom@lemmy.zip 15 points 5 days ago

MTG has said way more racist things than this, she's just mad that she wasn't getting attention

[–] Gradually_Adjusting@lemmy.world 15 points 5 days ago

Frantic incoherent racism doesn't represent MAGA, ma'am? We are left wondering. We are quite deprived of mundane reality.

Does it represent the demonic pact our country's most credulous goons have made with its most depraved billionaires?

Does it represent an entire nation haunted by Andrew Johnson's cursed spirit, kept from rest by the failed reconstruction?

Once you have eliminated the only credible possibility, madam, all that is left is melodramatic phantasmagoria.

[–] Zeppo@sh.itjust.works 4 points 4 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Loomer also then defended her post and tried to rationalize it.

[–] AgentGrimstone@lemmy.world 8 points 5 days ago

If she doesn't represent Trump, then Trump should tell her to take it down. He won't though.

[–] fsxylo@sh.itjust.works 8 points 5 days ago

To paraphrase Jon Stewart.

Fuck off ~~Dick Cheney~~ Three toes!
