Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing dozens of new allegations of sexual assault in a series of lawsuits set to be filed.

At a news conference held Tuesday, Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee said he is representing 120 accusers with allegations against the entertainment mogul that go back more than 20 years.

Breaking news: "Sean Combs announced as the new starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns".

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 4 points 13 hours ago

Worse, it's 120 per each name he's used so it's more like 120,000.

[–] MaxPow3r11@lemmy.world 52 points 23 hours ago

"I don’t know if you know this, but Puff is an investor in Twitter,' [Musk] said, using a nickname for Combs," Mac and Conger recount. "'You know, he’s a good friend of mine. We text a lot."

Just a few more accusers and he'll have a gross. I think that's when the bulk rate trial discount kicks in.

[–] w3dd1e@lemm.ee 7 points 12 hours ago

The article said 3000 people had some forward but they are only filing 120 suits right now. More to come. I’d say Diddy is gross. 😬

Even if only 5% of those are legit, that’s unfathomable to me. Yikes.

I’m going to be so happy when people stop talking about this degenerate rapist and he just rots into obscurity in a cold dark prison.

I don't know. I would imagine some of his songs will be played for a long time. Hopefully, no one plays this song for Diddy himself...

Edit: Also, it's kind of funny his most important song is just a cover.

I haven't heard anything about other celebrities going down for this, but there's gotta be. Is this gonna turn out like Epstein where they pretend like it was all him and nobody else knew or helped him?

[–] minibyte@sh.itjust.works 84 points 1 day ago (4 children)

Accusers — The accusers include 60 males and 60 females, with 25 being minors at the time of the alleged misconduct.

[–] Nougat@fedia.io 57 points 1 day ago

Minors as young as nine at the time of the alleged abuse.

[–] skeezix@lemmy.world 23 points 1 day ago

Three dogs, 2 cats, and a parakeet. Diddy is a diddler.

[–] Samvega@lemmy.blahaj.zone 13 points 23 hours ago

I wish I lived in a world where one accuser was enough to warrant a serious investigation and then serious steps put in place to limit future harms, if any harms were found.

[–] Dainterhawk999@lemmy.world 1 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Males too... He is seriously fucked up... Diddy had a suga daddy too... He is going down just not by holes but also by sticks too

[–] Chef_Boyardee@lemm.ee 1 points 14 hours ago

It's holes and poles, my man.

[–] motor_spirit@lemmy.world 49 points 1 day ago (1 children)

[–] Deceptichum@quokk.au 17 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Gonna get a check for 2 hours of his life in the mail.

[–] CM400@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That’s more than I make in a month.

[–] Deceptichum@quokk.au 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Oh not his earnings, his sentence time.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.world 3 points 23 hours ago

The victims will get a check for two hours of his sentence time?

[–] xc2215x@lemmy.world 29 points 1 day ago

Everything I hear about him continues to get worse.

[–] aeronmelon@lemmy.world 6 points 23 hours ago

Blood. In. The. Water.

[–] Crackhappy@lemmy.world 4 points 23 hours ago

He really should have learned to surf, then these waves of allegations would be no problem.

[–] yamanii@lemmy.world 1 points 18 hours ago

Strength in numbers, now is the time for everyone to come forward, they can't miss the king now, he is going down.

[–] krashmo@lemmy.world -4 points 23 hours ago (4 children)

I don't get the hesitation for these victims to bring this up before now. Sure, right when it happened it could be tough to come forward, but you sit on this info all the way through the Harvey Weinstein, Jeffrey Eppstein, #MeToo era? Why would you do that when you know it's still happening to other people?

[–] yamanii@lemmy.world 14 points 18 hours ago

In case you are serious, almost everyone that was with him at the start died mysteriously or was shot and he's the prime suspect for ordering both tupac and big's deaths.

[–] ZoopZeZoop@lemmy.world 22 points 22 hours ago

Precisely. Imagine someone doing something to you that you do not want, something that takes away your sense of autonomy, something that humiliates you. You know if you say something, some people will accuse YOU of doing something wrong, instead of your attacker. Now imagine that person has tons of money, and through that money tons of power. You know if you say anything about being attacked, it could hurt that person, and that person will use their money and power to make your life harder. You also know that even if everything goes best case scenario, it will be terribly hard, humiliating, and your personal life (and maybe some of your own behavior) will be out there for everyone to see. Then, think of all the ways it could be a worse outcome. I don't fault anyone for not coming forward. If I were a target for this behavior, I'd like to think that I would fight, but who knows what I would actually do. I hope I never have to find out.

[–] 474D@lemmy.world 23 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

He blew up Kid Cudi's car. He is a famous person. He tried to kill him and we're only learning about it now. As just regular people, they chose the safer option, you can't be mad at that.

[–] brbposting@sh.itjust.works 20 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

Wild. “could not escape” him & his network, one victim said.

[–] prole@sh.itjust.works 1 points 20 hours ago
[–] yesman@lemmy.world 7 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Why would you do that when you know it’s still happening to other people?

I love living in a country where the police have no duty to protect others, but the victims of crimes do.

[–] krashmo@lemmy.world 0 points 14 hours ago

How will the police, or anyone else, know about the crimes if no one reports them?
