Anarchism is a social movement that seeks liberation from oppressive systems of control including but not limited to the state, capitalism, racism, sexism, speciesism, and religion. Anarchists advocate a self-managed, classless, stateless society without borders, bosses, or rulers where everyone takes collective responsibility for the health and prosperity of themselves and the environment.

Prince Pyotr Alexeyevich Kropotkin was born in 1842 and breathed his last in 1921. Kropotkin was a Russian noble. He was educated for army and at the age of twenty he became a military officer in Siberia.

Kropotkin’s great interest in science developed from his military training which he received to get a job. This moulded his life in future. He had a scientific mind and devoted his time and energy to the study of books on science.

As a military officer in Siberia Kropotkin got ample opportunity for geographical survey and expedition. Thus his shift from military service to geographical survey and expeditions enriched the subject profoundly. He contributed many articles to different journals.

Peter Kropotkin was a man of different mentality and attitude. His stay in military service could not satisfy his academic and intellectual requirements and desires and after serving several years he relinquished the job, and entered the University of St. Petersburg in 1867. His vast knowledge in geography brought for him the post of secretary of Geographical Society.

Even this vital administrative post could not detain him for long time. He moved to radical political movements. In 1872, Peter Kropotkin joined the International Workingmen’s Association. Later on he was deeply involved in subversive and anarchical activities. This led him to imprisonment in 1874.

He escaped from prison in 1876 and went to England. The England of the second half of eighteenth century was the centre of revolutionary activities, although she never experienced any revolution.

He also travelled to Switzerland and Paris. While in Paris he was again arrested by the French government in 1883. Released from prison in 1886 he went to England and settled there. While in exile, Kropotkin gave lectures and published widely on anarchism and geography. He returned to Russia after the Russian Revolution in 1917 but was disappointed by the Bolshevik state. The rest of his life was spent without political activity.

Peter Kropotkin was an evolutionist anarchist. But his evolutionism was more scientific than that of his predecessors. He wrote several books on anarchism such as ‘The Place of Anarchy in Socialist Evolution (1886), The Conquest of Bread (1888), Its Philosophy and Ideal (1896)’, ‘The State – Its Part in History (1898)’ and ‘Modern Science and Anarchism (1903)’. His deep interest in science, particularly biology and anthropology, opened before him new and enchanting vistas of knowledge and all these inspired him to study biological science with added interest.

if my posts and writing are more eccentric/tangential than usual, know that I am concurrently sick and writing a term paper due at the end of the week. the only firing neurons not bedeviled with the vileness nor executive dysfunction are being maintained through the Divine Force presented in its earthly avatar–120mg of Pseudoephedrine every 12 hours. they are in essay mode

yes I'm obviously biased but also there's a pretty huge fucking difference between an indie game that has 1-3 people working on it from their home(s) and an "indie game" that has 20+ people working out of an office with corporate/producer sponsorship and a considerable (or event existent) marketing budget and I think the language should reflect that difference

Fourth year college exam season has me oscillating between "it's so jover, I'm dead, I hate college i should have been a carpenter im dropping out fr this time" and "I'm an academic weapon I'm a god no one had evee written an essay like I have, bow down before the all-knowing one" every 30 minutes

  • wake up
  • remember the USSR is no more
  • sadness-abysmal sadness-abysmal sadness-abysmal

There's China, I guess, but they're not assisting those who fight against imperialism across the world. There's Iran, but they don't have the nukes. World is looking more and more like the 1930s again and we don't have an USSR this time. Scary.

Been playing Another Crab's Treasure, it's way more fun and funny than I thought it would be, and at the same time it is far less lib than I thought it would be. One of the characters I assumed was a one-off just showed up again, and told my character that the ability to recognize evil is common, but without the ability to take action it's useless. Excited to see where this goes! kril-stare

The tooltip telling me I can do nothing about the microplastics in my body right now kinda broke me for a bit too scared

posting it here cause im not sure it fits in the news mega:

which would be a better defense for our good friend luigi? going hard and actually trying to say it wasnt him, and that he just made the manifesto as a joke and using like the starbucks photos where there's no visible unibrow to say clearly its not him. or would it be better to just go for jury nullification, come up with the flimsiest excuse possible why he was in NY and was found with a fake ID and suppressed pistol while still making sure to include how united healthcare personally hurt him/his family

truly hate that I exist at this point in time in history with all the treat printers to do people’s intellectual tasks for them. I work a 9-5 with the kids who didn’t do any of their homework and cheated off of you during the test, and now those same kids are making more money than I could ever imagine

Those kids are found in every sector from business to healthcare and it’s why accountability from a leader is imperative

I have a new job starting next monday! Four months of miserable unemployment done. And it's even in my field and at a living wage and a reasonably-short commute.

Now to enjoy my guilt-free staycation until then.

man wouldn't it be cool to live in a world where not absolutely every single aspect of life is organized with the sole motive of maximizing profit? sure feel like that would solve a lot of our problems

Every time I get told to call somewhere it never ever does anything.

Me: "Is there literally anything else I can do before the hearing?"

LTB ghoul: "No"

Me: "So I just have to plead my case and hope the adjudicator or whatever is sympathetic?"

LTB ghoul: "Yes"

Every time you can hear the blank stare that say through the phone: 'wtf are you yapping about'. It never works ever. No there is no help, get fucked. It's been good posting I guess.

I had been joking about my crush calling me a workaholic, but now I kind realize that I shouldn't just brush it off.

One of my closer family members had told me they'd be visiting a couple months ago and I completely forgot to request the day off. So they'll be here today and I'm at work doing jackshit. But fuck it, I'm going to leave early. Nothing is happening here and I need to learn to pull myself away from this shit. I've been doing a lot of thinking lately and this is one of those moments were I just need to think about my relationships and even my own mental health.

If workers owned the means of production farming equipment would be used for farming instead of protesting marginal increases to taxes on the rich.

someone was all "he was 24 when he said that shit that's far from a child" and like, idk, all I gotta say is anyone saying that probably has very different opinions about like a 60 year old dating a 24 year old, almost like experience matters, and while yes, 24 is an adult, like, people change, and 2 years at that point is like almost another 10% of that person's entire lifespan thus far (it's like 8 something, I said almost, don't @ me nerds). obviously it varies on when people start to go out of their way develop political awareness of their own. Idk, what age do y'all think people tend to get into whatever ideological bullshit on their own versus whatever they've simply been "educated" on by their parents/peers/school? let's say like, 16, that seems like a manifesto reading age. so that's 8 years from there of being a semi functional person developing a political awareness

2 years is like another 25% of that time, idk seems kind of significant from the perspective of being a large enough time to have a further influence on a person's actual ideological leanings

this post isn't just about luigi this post is about how I'm 33 and anyone younger than me is a child, actually

I finally get around to reading the bread book and then get hit with reading material for my PSL onboarding. It's no big deal since Socialist Reconstruction(the PSL book) is kind of a banger too but damn it, I've had Conquest of Bread on my list for 2 years, waiting for the right time and get 6 chapters in and then have to sideline it.
