A couple of accounts sent out a tonne of PMs. They are getting blocked but banning and removing content doesn't remove DMs, so folks can delete them or wait for the Admins to run some SQL to remove them.
I would trust an admin writing sql like I would trust Lassy to do cpr. It might look like it's working correctly, but in the end something is going to die.
Said as someone who used to write and run sql queries.

Photos, the spammer account actually made posts with other puctures of that person.
If you checked the profile there was couple posts with other pictures of the same person. I just feel bad for that person getting their pictures misused.

If you think about it, health science studies is a big enough field, everything that came before that is massive. No wonder she is busy.
I poked around out of curiosity. The friendica profile was empty except for one post saying hi. The peertube was live an hour ago or so and had a few comments. I'm currently in bed so didn't watch it to see if there was any sound. The final link was to some chat room thing that needed a login to get in, and I didn't feel like making one.
I'm curious what was in hell but not enough to go check myself

Didn't actually, but I'll admit that for a second I thought oh man someone needs to tell them they're trying too hard but then I thought about how strange it was to introduce yourself to a community via DM and how many people you'd have to send it to, and--oh, just like spam, because it is spam lol.
But I'm quite gullible / naive, so usually take most comms at face value initially. It's just how I am.

What's even weirder is the livestream she was supposedly on. I tried commenting, but there was no answer.
They didn't even bother to try and scam us with someone hot. The fake Tinder profiles at least bothered to find some girl on Instagram to steal pictures of.
I think they figured that, as we've rejected the attractive popular social media sites, we might be more inclined to go for someone more attainable and on our wavelength. I imagine she's been hit up with plenty of "what's your stack? Right answers only! LOL. Kidding. π€ͺ".
