We should be going back on there and proselytizing (and on this end, welcoming new users with h links to documentation etc.) btw if you're new I recommend checking out the various mobile clients. I personally use lemmy sync because of muscle memory from years of using it on reddit, but there's a number of open source ones too.
I agree. I do worry about the barrier to entry for some people. I know it gets brought up a lot here but I think it's a valid criticism.
Looking into apps was actually the first thing I did after making an account!
I used Sync for a few minutes, but then settled on Voyager because they don't collect any data.
Voyager is very nice btw.

You are correct. I didn't realize how shit it was until I focused on being more security minded. I ditched almost all centralized social media. I'm working to get rid of Facebook and hopefully google next. That's going to be hard .

Most have come back, /drugs for example. The admins said its a glitch, I can't beleive that and glad I'm here. I have no doubt reddit will get on its knees in the name of $$$$$$.
