My mom (devoted Trump follower) tried to say that he was just waving to the crowd. What will it take for these morons to believe that this is a Nazi salute?

I think most of them know what he is doing and are covering for him. They don't argue in good faith.

Wow... When a Nazi finds something too Nazi, you know that something is pretty damn Nazi...

Naaah, reckon he left because of 'opticts'. Sure he got a bit excited, though

[–] SharkAttak@kbin.melroy.org 5 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

"optics"?? He's complaining cause he didn't see it well enough?

[–] Semjaza@lemmynsfw.com 18 points 9 hours ago

The French are, understandibly, less willing to overlook Nazism than anglophones.

Then again, no one should be overlooking Nazism.

Which salute.....there have been three.

[–] SpaceRanger13@lemm.ee 23 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

It is odd that it wasn't the first one that stopped them.

[–] massive_bereavement@fedia.io 10 points 12 hours ago

They were fine with Musk's first two.

They didn't like when Bannon did it tho, which is when this statement was made.

Then there's already been a third person doing it.

Thank you :(

Just saw after posting, still had it up (out of order, also m/dd/yy):

“Elon Musk, Trump inaugural event, 1/20/25.

Steve Bannon, CPAC, 2/20/25.

Mexican actor Eduardo Verastegui, CPAC, 2/21/25.”

[–] boydster@sh.itjust.works 4 points 7 hours ago

Thanks for pointing out the names, too!

Sad times, these
