Fuck Republicans

Shoot them on sight if they try it. It’s what they’d brag about doing if anyone stole their shit.

Edit: no, you know what? Fuck that. If those fuckheads want one that fucking badly, make ‘em have a gunfight with Florida, whoever kills the most gets a space shuttle.

We're talking about Republicans. having enough has never been a consideration to their greed

[–] don@lemm.ee 1 points 1 week ago

Yes, but Texas doesn’t. It wants the one in DC, and I say TX and FL have a state-sized gunfight for the one in FL. Whichever kills the most of the other after a few months gets the FL shuttle.

Man it's a shit move to steal cultural artifacts from other nations, but it takes a special kind of shit person to to steal cultural artifacts from your own nation.

Republicans want to own absolutely everything.

Didn't even bother talking to anyone before going on their tirade. So it's a political stunt. It's in a museum, period. It doesn't matter which one, and to risk damage and the huge costs to move it means you don't really value the item for itself.

Republicans want to waste money by making a completely unnecessary move.

So normal GOP things….

It's funny that when Texas was asked if they wanted a shuttle over a decade ago, John Cornyn didn't give two shits about it. They ended up cutting down trees and rutting fields just to bring in the 747 carrier and the Explorer replica instead. The Endeavor didn't even go to JPL! What a fiasco that was. This is definitely a political stunt to distract from something else. Probably to dismantle the Smithsonian for all their "DEI" exhibits or whatever excuse they want to use to wipe out American history and rewrite it in their version. They already took the Enola Gay down for having the word "Gay" in it!!

I will kick them in their tiny shriveled balls.

This is purely for show. Not only is there no chance that the bill will pass, but (as the article points out) there's also no available way of moving the shuttle from DC to Texas.
