They seemed to like the drawn tutorial (with the original video credited of course) so I whacked up part 2 - someone followed them both and posted their results. There you go. I’ve made my first few tutorials and kinda become a teacher to others.

Now to actually learn how to draw myself and not teach people bad habits 🤪

I managed to get another weeks worth of antibiotics which will hold me til I can see my regular gp.

I feel heavy as lead and like I’ve been beaten by a sack of hammers. The anxiety has been bad today too which can be the low phosphate. The phosphate supplement has to be ordered in and costs $70-ish…

spoilerI could have just tried to supplement at home with a dark fizzy drink containing phosphoric acid (ie. Pepsi, Coke, cola, root beer or Dr Pepper) but can’t have the caffeine they usually contain.

I would have to buy a more expensive syrup online and mix it with generic carbonated water.

The new work laptop has a Copilot button. The most offensive thing about it is the Copilot button has replaced the right Ctrl key. Remapping it with Powertoys hasn't worked. I actually use the right Ctrl key so the irony of this button promising a productivity assistant replacing an actually useful key that enhances productivity is not lost on me.

There's already a keyboard shortcut for it alt+spacebar or something. But they just had to demand manufacturers give it a dedicated button

I drew a crappy little non-video tutorial for the other artists based on one I’d watched, drawing each step in a different colour to help clarify.

It’s something. If they like it I drew a part 2 to follow.

Banning myself from more plants until a possum solution is contrived. RIP parsley, violas, and heritage lettuce.

My local ringies have absolutely destroyed my potted fuschias. In previous years the mint has been fairly safe - not this year. They even had a go at the lemon thyme and the really spicy oregano, neither of which have been targeted before. Lotta hungry possums out there rn. So far the chives are safe but I'm holding my breath a bit.

yooo everyone knows Catch is going down, yes?

If you got kids or a small face, clean the fuck up right now on face masks.

Eastlink account has now been updated with the new vehicle. I had to phone them because the previous owner still had it on his account.

It does make me wonder what the legal situation is if you just keep driving on someone else's account. Would they be stuck with the charges because they have agreed to pay tolls on that vehicle, or would it be considered some sort of theft by deception because I know I'm not really authorised?

looking at pics of beautiful monkeys and apes that have lovely hair and fur, like colobus or capuchins or marmosets

and the thought occurs

we are one of those animals with beautiful hair🙂

Well, despite barely sleeping at all out of frustration and resentment and the heat, I seem to have woken up feeling alright and the day was rather pretty and fun for what it was, once i realised other deadlines were going to have to get tossed out beyond my control

Still got a lot of uni stuff to do before meeting tomorrow and I had banked on a short office day today to give me more time. Am now exhausted and about to see psych after which I rarely feel like doing and work but we'll see... maybe I'll reward myself with pizza tonight if I can get it all done.

Picked up the bike with the new Marathon tyres on it. I noticed the weight picking it up more than I expected, same with pushing off on a quick test ride. It's not so bad once you get going, though.

It also just feels off having tyres like this on a gravel bike, like putting regular road tyres on a rally car but more noticeable. In reality this bike spends most of its time on the road and these tyres are meant to keep the flats away so I can spend more time riding. The added weight will be good for strength training
