Summary

Stephen Miller, former Trump advisor, called birthright citizenship a “financial scam” and national security threat during a Newsmax appearance.

He claimed, without evidence, that undocumented immigrants exploit it to access “unlimited welfare” and that foreign governments use it for espionage.

The Supreme Court will soon hear a case related to Trump’s executive order challenging birthright citizenship.

Miller dismissed the 14th Amendment's intent, ratified in 1869 to reverse Dred Scott, and echoed extremist views like “remigration,” advocating for the forced removal of non-European immigrants regardless of citizenship.

He’s a current piece of this terrible administration, not former

[–] OutlierBlue@lemmy.ca 7 points 6 hours ago

He used to advise Trump. He still does, but he used to too.

As I did many times, I recommend this book Hitler's american model

if you really want to understand what's behind this effort to create second class citizenship.

He's not very photogenic either.

[–] halcyoncmdr@lemmy.world 26 points 19 hours ago

They never are. They all know they are inferior in every way, so they overcompensate by claiming their genes are actually better than everyone else.

He looks exactly what you'd expect an SS Officer from 1942 to look like.

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 15 hours ago

The lab monkeys really went the distance on attention to detail, too. Cryo-burn and everything. 🤌🏼

[–] fox2263@lemmy.world 5 points 14 hours ago

Can someone photoshop on those SS officer round glasses on to him? I think it might help

[–] Geetnerd@lemmy.world 10 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

He's just a malignant narcissist who thinks he deserves to rule.

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 15 hours ago)

The problem is, it's metastasizing and rapidly.

Even if he did have “evidence” of that somehow it doesn’t matter, that wouldn’t undo the CONSTITUTION! The 14th amendment seems to be the antithesis of the current administration. It covers birth right citizenship, representative voting, banning criminals and traitors from being president (No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability) that we don’t use taxes to pay for treasonous acts and that congress has the power to enforce all of these things!

The 14th amendment is extremely dangerous to the Trump administration in many ways… unless of course congress never steps up.

Is there unlimited welfare in the US that I'm not aware of?

[–] Mister_Feeny@fedia.io 66 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Yes, but only for already wealthy corporations.

Step 1 - Start corp

Step 2 - Get Rich

Step 3 - Hookers and blow

Step 4 - Bailout money

Step 5 - Go to step 3

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 15 hours ago

Don't forget: If Step 4 isn't responsive to manbaby tantrums, repeat from Step 1 like your daddy and his daddy before him.

For billionaires, like Musk. Almost his entire fortune was built on the taxpayer's dime.

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 15 hours ago

Uh. Musk's inheritance was largely from modern slavery (see: emerald mines)

[–] PineRune@lemmy.world 37 points 18 hours ago (2 children)

advocating for the forced removal of non-European immigrants regardless of citizenship.

If it's not okay to forcefully remove a European immigrant regardless of citizenship, then it's not okay to forcefully remove a non-European immigrant regardless of citizenship. Only a Nazi would think otherwise.

Yep. Almost every American Mass Shooter is a white male, but those are just "Lone Wolf" crazy people.

But ALL Latinos are Cartel Member rapists, drug dealers, and murders. Even the 2 year olds. It's in their "Mud Blood." Gotta nip that shit in the bud.

Got it.

It's what happens when you don't (won't) read for comprehension, much less with a shed of critical thought.

I'm leaving it.

[–] Geetnerd@lemmy.world 2 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Fuck Hitler, and any other Neo Nazi.

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 13 hours ago

Hitler's long dead, but there's a wannabe stepping up to the post, these days. 🤷🏼‍♂️

[–] Witchfire@lemmy.world 10 points 18 hours ago

Well I have news for you

[–] aesthelete@lemmy.world 15 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 15 hours ago

I mean, we're well into live-action-reboots-as-default, so where's our Luigi : Electorate Boogaloo?

[–] Geetnerd@lemmy.world 14 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago)

I'll never understand what makes a person so belligerent, malignant, and just plain evil, from such a young age. From accounts of his former High School classmates, and even his own family, he's always been this way.

I know a guy with a similar personality. He's a trust fund baby, and thinks he's special. He's condescending, and contemptuous, even though he lives off of the trust fund his mom set up for him. He's in his mid 50's, and his teeth are literally rotting out of his mouth. But, he's the baddest badass who ever badassed, and everything he likes or owns is the best. Oh, and he's also a Nazi. Hey bud, get your mom to buy you some new teeth. She bought you a house, and a car, and...

I think these people feel so entitled that when they figure out no one likes them, instead of trying to correct their behavior like a decent peasant, they lean hard into being a piece of shit, because they're "Special." They're not the asshole: WE'RE the assholes for not obeying them.
