This is absolutely a real trend suppted by data

https://lawsuit.org/general-law/republicans-have-an-obsession-with-transgender-pornography/

https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/pornhub-reports-explosion-searches-transgender-194508061.html

Conservative areas are more religious, and Christianity uses sexual shame and repression as a control mechanism. A trans attracted Christian is trained to hate them but still think trans people are attractive.

[–] steeznson@lemmy.world 14 points 16 hours ago

I think this is true for a lot of prejudices. Pron sites have released data showing deep red states where one might imagine more racist people live searching for interracial videos.

[–] Objection@lemmy.ml 6 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 13 hours ago) (1 children)

Yes, it's true in some cases.

It's not really that surprising. Just as there are straight men who are misogynist there are people who are attracted to femboys, trans people, and/or other gender nonconforming people who hold prejudices against the same group. It's massively oversimplifying human psychology to think it just comes down to a single linear axis of like/dislike. For some people, it might be that simple, but it's not always the case.

Take the song Hellfire and replace Esmeralda with a femboy, everything else can stay the same.

[–] SupaTuba@lemm.ee 1 points 45 minutes ago

Instead of simply accepting that one might be attracted to a spectrum of different kinds of people, they immediately feel internal guilt, directed outwards as hatred, because it might give them some sort of label they've been trained to despise.

[–] ZombiFrancis@sh.itjust.works 15 points 1 day ago

I think femininity itself is the more fetishized component, so it just means the femboy is successfully femming.

Especially when you consider how right wingers tend to interpret gender roles.

[–] Nyticus@kbin.melroy.org 15 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Femboys don't even need the right-wingers' help at all. They fetishize themselves and it is in of itself a fetish. I would know given by the amount of furry porn that encircles around femboys in general. And unfortunately, they are some of the loudest and pretend all femboys want to just be cock-slaves and cock-sleeves.

[–] erin@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

I don't love the take "men dressing feminine is a fetish." Are tomboys a fetish? Just because some people choose to engage in fetish and also are femboys doesn't make it "in and of itself" a fetish. It isn't.

[–] Nyticus@kbin.melroy.org 1 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Hey, blame the ones who're louder about it, I didn't fetishize them. Go talk to the furries first.

[–] Bytemeister@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

Kinks transcend political ideology. Roger Stone was famously into getting cuckold.

[–] Opinionhaver@feddit.uk 43 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Depends what he means by that. Are some right-wingers fetishizing femboys? Yeah. Can we generalize this to apply to all right-wingers as people have tendency to do with this sort of things? No. Turns out that people are individuals and they have different preferences. Shocker.

[–] endeavor@sopuli.xyz 18 points 1 day ago

Oh yeah, the most radical and anti lgbtq people tend to jerk off to boipussy feminine penises and rape other men. No, to them this is not gay.

Yes entirety of 4chan is deficated to femboys and russian army training involves forced male on male intercourse as hazing.

[–] Ledericas@lemm.ee 23 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The term ammosexuals comes up alot, and yes they festishize everything because they are so sexually repressed and frustrated.

[–] YiddishMcSquidish 22 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Just saw a dude dumping used motor oil on his lawn exclaiming about being proud or "dgaf" about libs, on Reddit. People snooped his profile briefly and found out he was a big fan of showing his butthole and trying to find weird sexual encounters.

I think it's true that any conservative is part of the party cause they are repressed.

[–] GeeDubHayduke@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I think it’s true that any conservative is part of the party cause they are repressed.

Every conservative i know personally is ultra repressed, so at least anecdotally, this tracks.

[–] YiddishMcSquidish 4 points 1 day ago

I've met some that were malleable, but the moment I brought up some gay shit (I'm cis het btw) they shut the fuck up.

I wish I was who I am now in grade school.

[–] Sanctus@lemmy.world 160 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Everything is fetishized by the right, especially the things they claim to hate.

Yup, as a trans person I have personally experienced this

[–] Rhynoplaz@lemmy.world 75 points 1 day ago (2 children)

So much temptation, I must ban EVERYTHING that makes me horny!!!

[–] bizarroland@fedia.io 46 points 1 day ago

I think it was Jesus that said, "It's better to ban an entire nation from existing than it is to work out your own sexuality with fear and trembling".

[–] JayGray91@piefed.social 9 points 1 day ago

Mega Frollo energy

[–] 9point6@lemmy.world 29 points 1 day ago

I mean it's the logical conclusion of "everything the right says is projection"

If a right winger wants to ban something you can find as a category on pornhub, that's what they've been clicking.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 41 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I don't know if I would call it fetishizing, as much as it is denying their own homosexual desires because a lot of right-wingers are sexually repressed homosexuals.

"It's not gay if they look like a girl" basically.

[–] Bytemeister@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

I think it's more like, "I'm not gay if a guy sucks my dick, but I'm gay if I suck his."

To Republicans, being "gay" and giving pleasure are submissive, non-masculine traits that go hand in hand. It's why they are so hesitant to go down on a woman, even though it would not be gay for a man to do so.

[–] djsoren19@lemmy.blahaj.zone 93 points 1 day ago (3 children)

I don't think it's widespread or mainstream, but speaking as a femboy, we are fetishized a lot in general. Even normal people often just assume I'm hyperhorny, like the only reason I'm femmodeing is because I want cock. The creepy part about the right-wingers is they see us as "failed males" and specifically get off on the idea of asserting their dominance over us. There's also a lot of dehumanizing and degradation that I see those types engaging in, beyond the typical "slut" that normal people do. They want to sexually abuse and violate femboys to feel better about their own fragile masculinity.

I'm very glad I live in a solid blue state and can go out safely, I think if I lived in a right-wing state I wouldn't feel safe going femmode outside.

Imagine you're a horrible misogynist who has the drive to have sex with a woman, but you don't like the idea of actually having to touch one. If only there was something feminine but not a woman. Something that could understand a man in the way only a man can, but at the same time is not quite as strong and powerful as a man...

[–] andros_rex@lemmy.world 55 points 1 day ago (4 children)

Yes - there is a lot that has been written about the homoeroticism of fascist movements. For years, it’s been a meme that “traps aren’t gay.” Nick Fuentes has sex with submissive puppy boys or something.

Fascism is libidinal. The Nazis who tortured gay men in concentration camps were also very eager to have sex with them. It goes back to Roman or even Bronze Age sexual mores, where sex is an act of aggression and as long as the “superior” is in the penetrative role, then it is okay.

Your friend is pulling "facts" out of their ass.

[–] RVGamer06@sh.itjust.works 1 points 22 hours ago (3 children)

I sent him a screenshot of this comment and he told me that you and me should both touch grass.

Lol he mad

[–] CoffeeJunkie@lemmy.cafe 4 points 17 hours ago

Tbh I think most people on Lemmy need to touch grass more often ¯\(°_o)/¯ Your friend sounds alright, for someone who pulls "facts" out of his ass. 😂

[–] DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social 6 points 20 hours ago

Ironic, because everyone that was familiar with the hellsite formerly known as 4chan both knows the statement is true and doesn't touch grass.

[–] FeelzGoodMan420@eviltoast.org 3 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

Can I smoke grass instead?

[–] CoffeeJunkie@lemmy.cafe 4 points 17 hours ago

Yes, Feelzgoodman420, you may indeed smoke the grass.
