I used to work for goodwill, people donated paraphernalia all the time, I once got a grinder full of weed. I think people preferred donating something instead of throwing it away even when we couldn't sell it.

Oh shit I didn't know Plato closet gave those out. My wife is going to be cleaning out her closet next tax season.
