Dear gods... he can't build it either way. It is simply not possible with current technology. Israel's Iron Dome system only needs to protect an area the size of New Jersey against much lower tech rockets and projectiles. Trump's plan, and I use the term loosely, would cost anywhere from half a trillion dollars to $2.5 trillion and will not be effective.

This is just a grift that will let him pour those trillions of dollars into the pockets of his rich buddies, who will no doubt need to pay him in advance for the contracts.

That article outlines the issues with the idea really well. Thanks for sharing it.

Casually implying he could build it with Canada. Trump never adds value to anything, only takes it away. He's a parasite that's always on the lookout for a new host.

It's just another bridge he's selling to the US public. Canadians thankfully appear smarter than to buy into his polished turds

Am in Canada, Canadians are absolutely furious at the US and not gonna have any of it. They've basically completely stopped buying American products, to start.

Good job, Canada! (Not sarcasm)

This is Trump's "Star Wars" program. Can't have high speed rail, but we can funnel trillions into the pockets of these government contractors for a solution in search of a problem.

This was my response last time, Canada isn't optional, most ballistic missile paths from Russia and China pass over Canada and detecting them would require radar architecture in Canada

Golden Dome is a space-based system that intercepts ICBMs in their boost and mid-course phases. It's a global missile defense system with or without the help of other countries.

It's nothing but a pipe dream at this point, and ground bases will still be necessary.

Golden Dome is a space-based missile defense system that intercepts ICBMs in their boost or mid-course flight. Being space-based it works with or without the help of other countries. The inclusion of Canada is primarily to spread out costs as such a system could also intercept missiles going to any country, not just the US.

This is just absurd. Even if Chrome-Dome was feasible (it isn't), or a good idea (it isn't), How TF to you propose to protect Detroit, Cleveland, Rochester, and Buffalo... but not Toronto?
