I always saw Musk as a dumbass who didn't know what he was doing.

Thanos was the universe's biggest mass murderer, but at least he had a point (even if his solution was the dumbest thing imaginable}. Musk is just a PoS.

In the comics Thanos was straight up the right man hand/side hoe of the concept of death made manifest the whole point of offing half of all life was just to make mistress death happy (I think she actually ordered it). A lot of the original plot points of the infinity war and its buildup was lost in translation. Movie thanos motivations werent even half baked, he could have doubled resources and made a paradise for life with his motivations

Relax, Thanos and Iron man had real power.

I pat the people on the back for calling him out all those years ago. I have always been indifferent to him to be honest, until five years ago he tried to interfere in the rescue of Thai school children who got stuck in underwater cave, and calling the rescue divers pedo. Some time after that, I remember telling my ex-colleague of mine who fanboys Elon that it is not necessarily I don't like Elon, but that I don't trust him after the incident. He got offended after I mentioned I distrust Elon, and I was surprised that he hasn't heard of Elon's childish spat with the rescue divers. Fast forward to now, I wonder what my former colleague thinks of Elon now.

He transformed a car into space garbage for publicity in 2015.

[–] technocrit@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 3 days ago

Yeah I remember watching that and thinking "what kind of absolute dummy thinks this is cool?"

[–] MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip 3 points 3 days ago

He fired the public image prople because he thougth he can do it better.

[–] sploosh@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

15 years ago I thought he was a dorky rich guy with a well-connected publicist.

10 years ago I thought he was a too-full-of-himself car manufacturer who bought his way into the game who overestimated his own engineering prowess.

5 years ago I thought he was an asshole and wondered why other people seemed to respect him.

Now I think he's a pathetic rich guy who got used and thrown away by Trump, the guy famous for using people and then throwing them away. Fuckin' cuck of a chump who could have his cock in the US's pussy and still wouldn't have the balls to fuck.

Thanos is not much of a tweaker though.

[–] the_crotch@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 days ago

Neither is musk. Ketamine is a depressant, not a stimulant.

[–] LittleBorat3@lemmy.world 7 points 4 days ago

A picture of his stupid mug in panel 2 would have been better

Needs to be in the title I believe.

[–] MadMadBunny@lemmy.ca 6 points 4 days ago

I know, and thank you for that! It’s appreciated, truly. Thank you.

But Thanks did nothing wrong, he was the good guy in that story. Misunderstood, but he had the right idea.

[–] mechoman444@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago (2 children)

No way. Thanos was actually cool.

It's not the only option. What would you do if you could "snap" and all kids had school lunches, or houselessness went away? At least Gates is working on malaria. smh.

[–] burntrealm@lemmy.zip 4 points 3 days ago

Elon as Thanos? Naw, Thanos was right. Elon? Not so much...

[–] CitizenKong@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

Nah, people thought he was Tony Stark but he was really Justin Hammer.

[–] rodneyck@piefed.social 6 points 4 days ago

Just another ADHD trust-fund baby billionaire on a coke binge.

[–] InfiniteHench@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

He’d look better like this

Watch Iron Man 2 again. Even Tony didn't want to deal with him.

[–] NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Nah, he’s Ellis in Die Hard, or Burke in Aliens.

Musk as Lex Luthor would be a better fit, and even that might be insulting to Luthor.

[–] Robust_Mirror@aussie.zone 4 points 3 days ago

At least Luthor is actually intelligent.
