A South Carolina Republican lawmaker — who once preached about the importance of safeguarding children from unnecessary harm — is accused of distributing more than 200 files of child pornography online while using the screen name “joebidennnn69,” federal prosecutors alleged.

Robert “RJ” May, 38, a member of the House of Representatives in the Palmetto State, was arrested at his Lexington County home Wednesday on a 10-count indictment charging him with distributing child sex abuse material, court documents showed.

The married father of two used “joebidennnn69” and several other user names to exchange 220 obscene files containing extremely graphic footage of children and toddlers engaged in sex acts on the messaging app Kik over five days last spring, federal prosecutors alleged.

Ugh. I dont say this often, but I make an exception for pedos getting caught:

Yay for law enforcement catching this guy and I hope he is sentenced to the longest prison term the law can hold him to. If they wanted to use their armored vehicles and military assault tactics to raid his house and haul this guy in with ankle chains, today I'm not going to complain.

At first I misread that as "RJ MAY Distribute hundreds of child porn files" as in, he was allowed to because of some loophole

[–] NotASharkInAManSuit@lemmy.world 18 points 9 hours ago

Another god damned drag queen pulling psy op.

[–] wolfeh@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 9 hours ago

Surprise level: 0

These assholes are completely out of it. When I fucked with the library computers in high school I didn't use my fucking full name. Also, is Biden able to do this or is he senile like they keep saying? Seriously, which is it?

What? A republican pedo? I am shocked. Who knew that republicans were sick child molesters. This is so out of character, and a complete anomaly. /S

[–] D_C@lemm.ee 8 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

He was hoping to be president one day. He would've been the second paedo president of the us!

[–] philophilsaurus@sh.itjust.works 3 points 6 hours ago

That we know about*

[–] FreakinSteve@lemmy.world 6 points 10 hours ago

Legit shocked that NYPost reported it

[–] wanderwisley@lemm.ee 4 points 9 hours ago

This is my shocked another republican was arrested for being a pedo face.

And one that “pins” it on a Democrat. Yet more projection.

Anyone know that massive list of the Republican pedophiles that was being compiled? Was it Slate that was doing the list? I've forgot and long lost the link. It was huge though. Like a 1000 names at least at the time.

[–] Karjalan@lemmy.world 4 points 7 hours ago

I just NEED all the liberals and centrists to remember shit like this anytime the right tries to get righteous about protecting children or claiming minority groups are grooming kids etc.

They literally don't give a shit about harm to kids, thir "team" are the worst perpetrators of it and they don't hold them accountable in the slightest.

[–] SarcasticMan@lemmy.world 93 points 1 day ago (1 children)

They finally caught prolific pedo Joe Biden lol

[–] Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.de 70 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Is this why they all called him a pedo, because they were getting their stuff from that username?

[–] aceshigh@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago

It was projection.

[–] molestme247@lemmy.world 18 points 1 day ago

Knowing their brains yes

[–] mavu@discuss.tchncs.de 19 points 1 day ago

It's always republicans.

[–] PP_BOY_@lemmy.world 64 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Cracks me up that pedos are still using Kik in this day and age

[–] dinren@discuss.online 17 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Also probably without a vpn and from his home.

[–] lemmy_user_838586@lemmy.world 38 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Shhh, let them keep getting caught

[–] dinren@discuss.online 9 points 1 day ago

Oh right. Sorry. I mean, KIK is great!

[–] SnarkoPolo@lemmy.world 35 points 1 day ago

Pardon scheduled for Tuesday.

[–] intheformbelow@lemmy.world 21 points 1 day ago

It's pretty much a widely known fact that maggats have a disproportionately large number of pedos in their ranks.

[–] Dogiedog64@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

What a sack of shit. Throw him into the volcano.

[–] FreakinSteve@lemmy.world 2 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

That's what Jesus said to do

[–] cyphear@thelemmy.club 1 points 9 hours ago (2 children)

More like a mill stone tied around their necks and thrown into the ocean. Magma is too quick if a death.

[–] lka1988@sh.itjust.works 3 points 7 hours ago

Magma is too quick if a death.

It would be an incredibly painful death. Magma/lava is incredibly dense, you would skitter along the top like a drop of water on a searing hot pan. And then pop.

[–] FreakinSteve@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

I always fantasize about flying them 100 miles or more out into the Pacific and dropping them from the plane with ankle weights

[–] lka1988@sh.itjust.works 4 points 7 hours ago

The impact from hitting water at such velocity would kill them.

Drop them 100 miles out with nothing but their clothes instead. That would be a much more horrific experience; being able to tread water for a while, but nobody being able to find you.

It's always the ones you expect

[–] Ryktes@lemmy.world 25 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Man we really need to bring back public pillory.

[–] yesman@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Are you implying that S.Carolina isn't backward enough?

[–] Ryktes@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

I'm just sayin, chaining up pedos in public parks and lettin folks pelt em with rocks and cow shit might help raise morale a little.

Was he a drag queen?

[–] Ghostalmedia@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

Toddlers? Jesus Christ.

[–] BossDj@lemm.ee 0 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Does NY Post still use the term "child pornography" because their reader base is less mentally developed?

[–] lka1988@sh.itjust.works 2 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

I'm confused - is it not child pornography?

[–] BossDj@lemm.ee 2 points 2 hours ago

I thought it was pretty widespread information, I guess not.

It's CSAM or child sexual abuse material, or just child abuse images. The article gets it right after the headline.

"Child porn" legitimizes/justifies it to the users and abusers and has connotation with consent.
