Misunderstood you! You meant the plane's old enough that Boeing's QC issues are not a likely cause.
787-8 isn't "very old"
I mean it was 12 years old. That’s old. Any recent issues with Boeing of which there are a ton, shouldn’t reflect on a 12 year old plane.
12 is not very old for an airliner, they are expected to last for 20-30 ish years.
More in some cases with proper maintenance. The air force one planes for example are almost 40.
My dude, there are 30+-year-old 737s still flying around.
OP meant the plane's age predates Boeing's issues.
Except it doesn't, the whistleblowers are from the dreamliner's construction and claim it takes 10-15 years for manufacturing slop to cause crashes
