I discovered today that my dentist is double billing patients after they get paid by their insurance. They "waived" the extra money they charged me when I brought it up. This additional charge was added to my account even after my insurance paid $100 more than what was billed by the dentist.

Google reviews, Yelp, Trustpilot. This is probably not "on purpose" but a bookkeeping error that they haven't been keen to chase down since it is profitable.
But if we didn't had ultracapitalism in dental care, people wouldn't brush their teeth with electric toothbrushes and toothpaste, let alone use mouthwash and floss! /s
