There are a shitload of conservatives on Twitter being like “WTF TRUMP” right now. It’s crazy to see because Twitter is like the fourth reich right now.
They've been told for years that all of the Democrats and any other enemy of the right are in the client list for years, their brains can't handle this cognitive dissonance.
They'll find a way to resolve it neatly by the end of the week.

It's neat how qanon doesn't exist anymore and yet qanon is the backbone of American conservatives now
Why would it have to exist after the takeover?
I had predicted years ago that qanon would mutate into a new evangelical wing of conservatives, not simply become the floor of all conservative rhetoric. Color me surprised I guess lol

Ya I am old enough to remember. It was very bad. Considering how all the stuff about the Church and abuse that came out years later, Sinead O'Connor was far ahead of her time. The West owes her a massive apology.

Comedians rode every joke into the ground. I had no idea who Tammy Faye Baker was at the time, but I had seen a dozen caricatures. Jay Leno was making Monica Lewinsky blowjob jokes for years after everyone stopped caring.
Yeah they really were, weren't they? Nothing like having someone make light of the pagentry and bullshit surrounding your favorite pass time to really piss you off, I guess.
It was a "disrespecting the flag" thing for many, IIRC, added on to the intersection of fatphobia and misogyny. People were itching for excuses to hate Roseanne while keeping the moral high ground (her politics weren't generally known yet, so there was no partisan angle to it).
