Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

Too many titles spoil the punch line, though. I can't risk it without reading the comic first.

But how many times I've scrolled down to a happy smiling face, I start to smile too, them BAM, title starts: Teen killed when..."
I didn't notice the title...but I also misread her as "He reads articles" and that was funnier than the originally intended joke. 🤪
Fuck... I get shit at work for not reading subjects in emails too.
Had one person put the whole email in the subject to fuck with me. It worked.
He never even had a chance, poor fella.

I don't get it... How is "too late" the punchline?
It’s telling the reader they are too late reading the title after being called out for not reading it.
As someone that reads titles and is therefore the superior romantic match I am immune (to thinking it was funny)
I don't get it either, and what order are you supposed to read it? Does the title come first, or at the end?

Thanks for the explanation. I didn't get it until you explained it. Ironically, the people who read titles will have a harder time understanding the comic, because we've read it out-of-order.
I read the title, discarded it from memory because I had no context or meaning for it, read the comic, went back to remind myself what the title is. Now I just feel numb.

Also on my lemmy the title of a post is below the image. It would be very strange for someone not to read the image first. This joke is bad.
