I had to check if this was real, and for once I have good news!
Which is weird, because I can't see the Wookiee getting along with the Saudi. Yet Yoda bridged that gap.
I need to find a copy so this can go in my collection of rare textbooks.
I'd like to hear more about this collection...
I can't give away too many details as it could be identifying but I do have the following in my small collection:
- A mechanics textbook from 1890 ish that has really good colour illustrations of steam engines and cotton machines.
- An air force booklet for trainees in the 1940s to teach basic maths and physics starting from simple addition and subtraction written out in words.
- My most recent addition: a history of electricity and magnetism covering anthropological records dating back to the early days of civilization up to Faraday's experiments which the author dedicated to Lord Kelvin.
It's just such a specific and interesting thing to decide to collect. Very cool!
I never knew I wanted Saudi textbook until now, shit I couldn't even read it..
Accidentally? Makes the picture 1000x cooler.
Notice that at no point do they state that the picture was fake or in any way altered.
