I lived there for a year a long time ago (so probably not relevant) and what I did is post a listing for roommates at a lesbo bar and had some of the most awesome roommates ever.

Craigslist naturally, worked for me, I tried roomi and spareroom though nothing came of them. Maybe if you're in an org you can ask local members?
Im outside of Philly for now so its tough
Moved here with a friend of mine, so no help in finding a roommate department.
As the other commenter suggested though, craigslist is actually somewhat useful here. I got my job from it no prob, still working there 2 years later moderately happy with it
