Trump has passed one of the least popular bills of all time, his ICE actions are wildly unpopular, his tariffs are pushing up the cost of living and the refusal and backtracking on the Epstein thing is upsetting a lot of people…. It would take true Machiavellian genius from the dems to still be less popular than him, and yet the Dems are delivering. Mother Nature would need millenniums to evolve a more perfectly adapted ‘Controlled Opposition’ party.

Notice the huge dip in the 2000s, when Democrats sat back and did fucking nothing during the W administration.

Their popularity jumped when it appeared that they were going to do something about the great financial crisis, then fucking nosedived again when everyone saw they were going to just paper over everything

Democrats truly are controlled opposition, and only exist to sabotage any real left energy in this country

Democrats and UK Labour are dying out simultaneously and it's entirely self-made. This is not a coincidence, historical movements are happening as a result of western conditions.

When I heard uk labour was sending operatives to advise the Kamala campaign I knew she was cooked lol

rlly funny that people on both sides of the Atlantic thought getting 33% against the most unpopular government of all time qualified them to go give advice in a race where the opposition was actually semi-popular

i mean realistically they were just off on a holiday to the States getting to LARP as the West Wingers they desperately wish they were, but still

"Democrats get their lowest rating ever recorded" would be more honest and more sensational.

Voters: The majority of us disapprove of both parties. Can you allow different options?
the-democrat the-republican : Pffft, not on your life. Now pick one of us because the other one will end democracy as you know it.

I cannot see those two emojis as democrat and Republican because their faces are too British coded

[–] HamManBad@hexbear.net 14 points 5 days ago (1 children)

The Republican looks exactly like Newt Gingrich to me

[–] TrustedFeline@hexbear.net 13 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Yeah, I always thought those were just deep fried Lieberman and Newt

[–] invo_rt@hexbear.net 37 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Really funny to see the absolute nosedive liberal favorability took during his term

Almost like he was just that fucking terrible

And then Kamala and their complete lack of opposition to Trump pushed it even further

"They still have yet to move far enough right to appease voters and do enough bipartisan racist immigrant bashing" - the-democrat

Pov: you're just another front for oligarchs

The framing of this will have libs read it as "we need to be more like Republicans" instead of the exact opposite take. One of the many deceptions baked into the two party narrative.

They earned it
