Cases like this are interesting, but likely a genetic fluke. It's not like anyone can do what he does and get the same result.

I had a great uncle that split 94 fence posts on his 94th birthday, because his kids mentioned it might be time to leave the farm and go to a retirement home.

Dude smoked a pack a day and drank a fifth of whiskey.

He just won the generic lottery and was a picture of good health till he died one night in his sleep.

I'm not going to start smoking a pack a day and drinking a fifth if whiskey because I think it'll keep me healthy tho.

40 minutes on a rowing machine would help most people, but virtually no one will see these results.

If that's all it takes then I'm as healthy as a person can be.

Who knew the secret to a long life was being a chain smoker and a raging alcoholic.

Nonsense comparison really. That's scientifically nothing like rowing.

Not sure what they're implying, following his standard workout routine will let us live into our 90's? And have a body of a 30 year old?

Conclusions

The current analysis demonstrates novel findings. The principal observation relates to the kinetics of oxygen uptake that were found to be similar to those reported for healthy young adults (15). This is a remarkable finding in a 92-yr-old and may serve to highlight the plasticity of cardiopulmonary and respiratory functional capacity, even in persons of advanced age, when supported by sufficient exercise stimulus. Moreover, well-developed physiological characteristics, i.e., pulmonary function, V̇o2peak, O2pulse, maximum power, and egross, were observed, providing further support to the premise that exercise training may counteract aging-dependent impairments across a range of systems. Finally, the training and nutritional practices of this athlete are also outlined and may confer valuable insights for researchers and practitioners within the domain.

Yeah I get that but he's not doing anything a million other healthy older people are doing as well. My mom and step dad are in their 80s and they wake up at 6am every day to go to the gym. They still look old and def do not have the body of a 30 year old

Also, if you happen to be nearish to a body of water, it turns out there's specialized machine for this type of training, it's called a row boat. As for me, I'm showing up tomorrow with my rowboat at the lap swimming pool. LoL
