Crazy how those same people in favor of the ban would be cheering for it if it could turn gay children straight. I mean, they were in favor of parents sending their children to gay conversion therapy even though, which are basically torture camps, even though there is no basis for it in medical science.

Maybe that is why they hate the rest of the country so much, they think we're all hypocrite like them, just a different flavour.

This is it right here - those who benefit from oppressive systems very often assume that if those they oppress ever gained power, all they would do is turn the tables and oppress them in return. Because A. those with privilege love to find ways to claim victimhood, and B. they can't even conceive of a non-oppressive relationship even existing, they simply don't know what it looks like, so they project their own views (that in society you are either the oppressor or the oppressed and they know which one they would rather be) instead of try to reach a point where no one is oppressed.

Yup! Just ask any Republican why it's bad if white people become a minority... They'll just out and tell you these days.

This is such bs. Lawyers shouldn't be ruling on what is medically necessary. This will just feed into the ignorance and fear that transitioning is dangerous.

Politicians shouldn't be passing laws prohibiting what is medically necessary. We all know it is hatred targeted at marginalized people and has the effect of harming them, harming their mental health, and leading to more likely suicide. The people who passed these laws should be tarred and feathered. ^figuratively

You’re stating what the judge just has confirmed, are you aware of that? That is unless you mean that instead it should be politicians to rule over what is medically necessary. Which would sound way too ridiculous to me, even if assuming you're a typical Republican hypocrite.

What a victory. I too consider it a W when I stop people from doing something that: Doesn’t hurt anybody, Takes options away from people instead of giving them more, and is another distraction from the real issues we’re currently facing like Climate Change and the mounting issues in China and the Ukraine.
