according to this hexbear.net is only 1% more violent than your local protestant church tito-laugh

[–] kristina@hexbear.net 9 points 1 year ago

holy fuck we're bloodthirsty

[–] RyanGosling@hexbear.net 3 points 1 year ago

We need to build our own mega church

[–] WhatDoYouMeanPodcast@hexbear.net 4 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Also I'm a bit sad that they just scrape our shit and put it through an algorithm. I sort of wish we had (more) FBI wreckers and some schmuck who has to go through my posts to see the brilliance that I bring to this place

this is just what gets admitted publicly. the fact that we’re on this guy’s radar means we’re probably on a lot of others too lol

I'm sure a couple of the more controversial early posters were feds sent to prevent co-ordination during the last wave of radicalism, not out of fedjacketing anyone specific (because most bad takes are just honestly bad takes) but purely on statistical chance.

I do want to give a shout out to our intelligence agency friends. who no doubt have to read a lot more theory than most of us do! Wonder how many get radicalised.

Wonder how many get radicalised.

One of the biggest problems they had with spying on Cuba was that their agents would sympathise and radicalise.

I remember the day this dropped and how much fun we all had. Good times!

Hexbear doesn't even argue for the death penalty for Puyi, who allied with Nazi Germany, but argue for rehabilitation and education, as to follow critically Mao Zedong thought. 🧹

[–] barrbaric@hexbear.net 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Haha yeah totally, I definitely would never do that. side-eye-1 side-eye-2

[–] Jenniferr@hexbear.net 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

who is paying for this tripe on a monthly basis??

[–] abc@hexbear.net 3 points 1 year ago

Youngstown State University and the Ohio Supercomputer Center through a faculty grant; according to his site & the most recent Monthly Summary of Frames of Misinfo

[–] Zuzak@hexbear.net 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

This sucks, Extreme Left is stuck at 24 and we need to get past 25 to have "high violence." We're also a little behind reddit-logo in total posts (not reddit-logo but like the other reddit-logo) so we gotta post harder if we wanna knock 'em down a notch (praxis)

separate reports regarding the tracking of trends related to left-wing extremism, public-health (mis)information, and religion forums are in development.

Looking forward to the upcoming Hexbear review

Is this a tagline yet? Because it needs to be.

[–] Awoo@hexbear.net 1 points 1 year ago

Ay Richard Rogers you're missing a bunch of sites. If you want more sites to add to your list PM me. This is very incomplete.

If only mean words online led to material change

[–] UlyssesT@hexbear.net 1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (2 children)

Is this from the same "as leftist as they come, buuuuuuuuut" poster that kept saying how "combative" Hexbears were while also calling Hexbears "insane" and other ableist concern trolling shit (including some weird edgy joke about head injuries and how Hexbears must all have head injuries) because mentally ill people bad and contemptible amirite so-true

[–] KobaCumTribute@hexbear.net 1 points 1 year ago

No, this is an old "study" by someone using scraping bots to gather up text and then subject it to a vague keyword scoring analysis where words related to violence increase a post's violence score.

Yo did anyone watch the last UFC card? God those guys fucked each other up. I fuckin love when they're punching and kicking each other. I have so much fun seeing a guy get choked unconscious because they're so tough they don't even tap. When it gets bloody that's so exciting because it means it a super hardcore fight where the violence is more important than the discomfort. I wonder if Izzy is going to get the title back - he'll need to do something about Strickland's aggression.

[–] Jenniferr@hexbear.net 1 points 1 year ago

I agree I thought it was a good fight. Strickland really pulled through, as much of a dipshit as he is, it's impressive that he was able to pull it off. That 1st round KD was incredible

I nearly got knocked out in a muay thai class one time. I didn't have my hands up to my face, so when I got head kicked I basically exploded. That shit was so violent, it sucked. I wasn't concussed and they kicked me pretty lightly. I knew what is was like to be a Nazi insofar that I was defeated because of the violence. It was a good thing because it taught me to take better care of my nutrition because I think it was a factor in running out of energy and getting hurt. I didn't get killed, so it was just a learning experience.
