You just made me remember something from childhood. I managed to wedge myself between back of the sofa and the cushion. That felt so good, getting squeezed from front and back, mostly evenly.

I never got such a feeling again. Closest is being under duvet, once folded large blanket, hugging a feather pillow, laying on my left side and my dog laying against my back. But that's still not enough. At this point, I should probably just put myself under the mattress. Or maybe 2 of them. You know what, put a truck on top for good measure.

What if I took a strong large plastic bag, put it inside duvet cover and filled it with metallic mercury?
OK, enough. This is getting wild.

You reminded me to finally get a weighted blanket. Have you tried one?

[–] ProgrammingSocks@pawb.social 10 points 7 months ago (2 children)

I love weighted blankets! Downside is that now I can't really sleep without one...

Do you have advice how to buy one/what to watch out for?

[–] ProgrammingSocks@pawb.social 1 points 7 months ago

Idk, I got gifted one by my parents that they either bought online or at like Walmart lol

I've been thinking about getting one but never did the research. Do they get warm in the summer?

[–] ProgrammingSocks@pawb.social 2 points 7 months ago (1 children)

That depends on your summer and A/C. If you don't have A/C in your house then yes, they do add extra insulation.

[–] LordAmplifier@pawb.social 1 points 7 months ago

Aww shucks, we don't have A/C and it's already a real pain to be alive in the summer. Thank you for sharing your experience, though, I really appreciate it :3

No you're onto something with that mercury idea, I need that. It might crush you though

[–] anothercatgirl@lemmy.blahaj.zone 10 points 7 months ago

I think one solution is called the "autism steamroller"

Have you tried a vacuum bed?

It’s a fetish thing, so, uh… be warned before you search.

You need more hugs, boy

[–] Num10ck@lemmy.world 3 points 7 months ago

you might enjoy sleeping on the floor of a closet, both under and on top of several layers of laundry.

[–] Passerby6497@lemmy.world 3 points 7 months ago

Look into getting a sleep sack, it might give you the all body hug that you're looking for.

[–] Kowowow@lemmy.ca 1 points 7 months ago

What about a duvet or cushions plus some vacuum fetish gear?

Is that CDawgVA?

Honestly, it's the browser I use. It's not the best out there, but for being able to be used on all my devices with adblock it's the one I stick with. Definitely better than chrome and chrome based browsers when it comes to privacy
