The more they spend on Trump's legal bills, the less they are spending on campaigning and down-ballot candidates. Do it! Do it!
Do they NEED to spend money on advertising? They jerrymander themselves in to a safe position, and conservates have thus far proven too stupid to vote for anything other than "R".
The state and local parties need money to function without which any amount of stupidity is easily surmountable.
There are a lot of swing districts out there. Right now they have a razor thin majority in the House. If Biden wins and the Senate holds and they get a few seats in the House, things will be grim for them.
Not with what MAGA Mike has planned...

At this point, there's nothing I wouldn't put past them.
Every legal bill they have to pay is a campaign ad they don't get to run.
I heard he was trying to hand a daughter in law the rnc purse strings, then I heard the rnc head resigned...
Does she have it now?
The best thing for Dems is she does, because they'll pull a Hillary and spend all the Republican money on the presidential race and lose big in Senate and House.
I doubt we'd get any significant gain, but at least we'd be able to pass budgets for a year or two
Man, can you even imagine the headspace of his supporters in a couple weeks. With a turnip in change of the RNC, it’s going to instantly turn into his legal defense fund. Will there ever be a bridge too far for them? I kinda doubt it.
