Or what? Stop sending weapons, coward.

[–] anarchost@lemm.ee 26 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago) (1 children)

Unironically time for America to be World Police, this one time

[–] badbytes@lemmy.world 4 points 7 months ago

And like police, show up and shoot victim in the face.

[–] crusa187@lemmy.ml 12 points 7 months ago

Actions speak louder than words, I agree, stop sending the very same bombs which are slaughtering civilians daily.

Biden’s strongly worded letters just result in Bibi and his admin making a mockery of the US on Israeli news media. It’s honestly quite humiliating.

[–] anticolonialist@lemmy.world 32 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Immediate ceasefire while he's still sending money and weapons to continue killing.

[–] saltesc@lemmy.world 12 points 7 months ago (1 children)

1,800 more MK84 2,000-pound bombs

500 more MK82 500-pound bombs

$18B sale of F-15s

All confirmed this week and ready to be put in the post.

Biden sells 18 billion dollars worth of jets and says "don't use them" under his breath as he does it.

[–] TransplantedSconie@lemm.ee 22 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago)

The jet thing I don't think he can stop. This was done in Jan 2023. I think and stuff pre-approved by Congress can not be stopped.

The whole weapons thing totally can be stopped. Like bombs, ammo, artillery, and I sure hope that's the next step. This shit can't continue.

Edit. Got the date total wrong lol. Deal was made in Jan 2023.

March 17th 2024- more than 12,300 youngsters have been killed. 1.7 million people displaced.

If that doesn't call for a true crease fire then 7 humanitarians will probably not accomplish it either.

Biden and other politicians: Stop!

Israeli government: No!

Biden and other politicians: Here's more money and weapons to bomb aid workers!

Scene.

[–] MataVatnik@lemmy.world 5 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago)

"Please stop" as we give them more missiles. Biden literally has the power to stop this right now he doesn't have to ask.

while a diplomatic crisis between Poland and Israel has erupted after Israel’s ambassador to Poland, Yacov Livne, pushed back at what he said were attempts by the “extreme right and left in Poland” to accuse Israel of “intentional murder”.

You've really messed up if you've managed to get the extreme right and the extreme left both on the same page about your bullshit.

[–] TokenBoomer@lemmy.world 2 points 7 months ago

Great observation

[–] EdibleFriend@lemmy.world 7 points 7 months ago (5 children)

lol anyone who calls him out for the fact he is part of funding this keeps getting downvoted to oblivion. lemmy is the /r/conservative of the liberal world. Just another echo chamber that lashes out when you question their god.

And, yes....im still voting for him because obviously Trump will be a million times worse, especially in this particular situation.

[–] cooljacob204@kbin.social 15 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago) (3 children)

Lol idk what fediverse you're living in. This one strongly, strongly leans super far left. And not the left that likes Biden.

[–] EdibleFriend@lemmy.world 10 points 7 months ago (2 children)

Ah...so...then....why is everyone getting downvoted for calling him out? It is consistent with what I am saying and my experience since I joined .world...

[–] BassTurd@lemmy.world 0 points 7 months ago

I think that some people come out and are critical, but then say they aren't going to vote for him, or push something just a bit further. Tone also makes a difference.

There's two options in November, one is worse for Palestine than the other.

[–] TransplantedSconie@lemm.ee -3 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Because 9/10 they are re-posts, and more often than not the exact same fucking article.

Like the fucking dick cheese that kept posting poll after poll after poll so much that I blocked his ass.

[–] EdibleFriend@lemmy.world 3 points 7 months ago (1 children)

I am very clearly talking about right here and now in this post. Err....did I miss something? Did A lot of comments get deleted?

[–] Zaktor@sopuli.xyz 2 points 7 months ago

The only downvoted comments I'm seeing here are on your posts complaining about downvotes. The top comment is calling out Biden and 3-to-1 upvoted. Vote Blue occasionally shows up early in a random post and sets the tone, but most Gaza posts are very much favoring antiwar/progressive sentiment.

[–] crusa187@lemmy.ml 7 points 7 months ago (1 children)

world is standard centrist neolibs all the way down. in fact the admins have already preemptively defederated with leftist instances. their loss!

[–] whoreticulture@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 7 months ago

Yes I saw that, it's really disappointing.

[–] Reptorian@lemmy.zip 4 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago) (1 children)

The census from what I see is that people here don't like Biden. But, like most uncommitted, it's very likely they'll vote Biden for harm reduction. I don't know why you're being down-voted for that though.

At the end of the day, you're correct that Biden has to be voted in again, and the downballot is more crucial.

[–] EdibleFriend@lemmy.world -5 points 7 months ago (1 children)

I have literally been called a sabatour to the democratic party for questioning Biden on this website. For context it was when he finally said something about abortion, not long ago, and I said something to the effect of 'So....he's waiting to make this a reelection issue?' For literally 24 hours I received hate for that. and was flat out told saying that is an attempt to get Trump elected. So....nah. I wouldn't say this place in general doesn't like him. I would say this place worships him the way the right worships Trump.

And everyone getting downvoted in this post for not carving his name into their arm to show reverence for his 'harsh words' kinda proves that yo.

[–] DragonTypeWyvern@literature.cafe 4 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago)

Lemmy is entering the full trollfarm phase now that it's an election year. Neoliberals and "moderates" are wandering around not knowing what words mean but expecting everyone to vote blue no matter who, anarchists are yelling at all the fascists (anyone not a anarchist or demsoc), tankies are going mask off and not even pretending to care about seizing the means, and the Reddit IPO has done the worst thing of all.

Driven some actual "conservatives" into the Fediverse 🤢

[–] gAlienLifeform@lemmy.world 3 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago)

lol anyone who calls him out for the fact he is part of funding this keeps getting downvoted to oblivion. lemmy is the /r/conservative of the liberal world. Just another echo chamber that lashes out when you question their god.

You are 110% correct about this, but don't expect the gaslighting to stop

e; eh, on reflection you're more like 65% correct about this. There are definitely way too many users who act just as you describe, but there are some dissenting voices here and the moderation has been ok in my experience (some decisions I disagree with but I haven't experienced any of the super toxic power mod-ish behavior).

[–] anarchost@lemm.ee 2 points 7 months ago

the /r/conservative of the liberal world

I think you just mean "an echo chamber", but based on the vote count I think things are less certain than you let on

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 0 points 7 months ago

Huh? That's, like, the top comment.

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 5 points 7 months ago

Fuck Israel.

[–] Potatofish@lemmy.world -2 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Today:

Why won't the US police the world better!?

Tomorrow:

The US is not the world police.

If there is something to whine about with no context and self serving purposes, Lemmy is the place to do it.

[–] TokenBoomer@lemmy.world 5 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Context: The US sends American taxpayer money all over the world through the International Monetary Fund and USAID, as well as weapons. Most of the instability in the world is due to this support system that we created and maintain to ensure capitalist hegemony. It is a monster of our own creation. This is the contradiction. Do we maintain this system that is increasingly becoming untenable, only serving Western interests, or let it go and risk further global instability?

There is no easy answer, and I’d be lying if I said there was.

[–] Potatofish@lemmy.world 0 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Most of the world's stability is due to this system, too.

[–] timewarp@lemmy.world -3 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Hopefully he's not using the same political analysts as Hillary in determining his polling numbers and how many votes he can afford to lose.

[–] jhymesba@lemmy.world 1 points 7 months ago

I hope that the Biden team is channelling Howard Dean's 50 State Strategy. Sure, we may not win Alabama this election, but we have won seats there recently. If Biden's serious about stopping a Trumpian Fascist takeover of the USA, he best be aiming to win every vote he can, and that means harkening back to the 50 State Strategy and NOT taking any votes for granted.
