I have good word from :quark:, it just wasn't making the bean counters happy enough anymore.

Is... is this the light at the end? Picard and Discovery ending? :sicko-wholesome:

Nooooo how could they do this to Star Trek: Michael Burnham?

i'm screaming and crying rn just like every good starfleet officer does

I don't even dislike the character of Michael, I just hate how much the show focuses on her instead of any of the other characters. Classic Trek was always an ensemble show with all of the senior staff getting their own character development and adventures.

At this point I feel like I know more about Keiko Obrien than I know about Discovery's doctor.

Picard isn't good Star Trek, but Discovery is just bad on another level.

Picard is worse.

Kurtzman has also teased the development of another potential spinoff, Star Trek: Academy, which would focus on a new generation of young cadets.

No goddamn it. I thought his contract was up?

I wonder if it'd focus on idealistic aspiring explorers seeking new life and new civilizations or if it'd be more :awooga: :libertarian-alert: :hypersus:

my guess is he's trying to glob onto Lower Decks' success

But Lower Decks is actually good because Kurtzman had nothing to do with it except his name in the credits in a hands-off position.
