guess Dems shoulda worked harder, actually listened to the American people, & picked better candidates if they wanted to beat Trump.

How ironic that you have been banned from here though.

There's a new one started just yesterday: !conservative2@lemmy.today

Agreed. States being allowed to govern themselves should be the goal in everything like this. My libertarian parts always rankle up when I see people trying to prevent it.

It's from Newsweek, and I did notice that they have changed the title of the article to be less clickbait-y just now as well. Well, not sure if less clickbait or more, but their new title of article is: "Republicans Pile On as Zohran Mamdani Becomes Democrats' New Lightning Rod" I updated to match the title in link.

But for sure, if you don't think it fits the theme of your comm, I can respect you removing it. I did think it was an interesting take on the situation though, because I didn't realize that some Dems were upset about Zohran. I think it's more of they probably think since he's kind of new-dem, that it takes away from their more established dems that they want to stay in power. Iv'e seen nothing to indicate it's about race. I actually like the guy, even tho it's not my style of politics. I lean more libertarian.

“Joe Rogan says something SO stupid that the people hearing it don’t even know how to respond” would be a more accurate title.

That would be a fun title too!

Wow, I just read all of the stuff in those links. This stood out: @bdonvr, admin of The Lemmy Club has, in my opinion, responded in good faith to the concerns raised in this post, and so I have withdrawn my proposal for defederation. In summary: They will no longer be allowing conservative/right wing communities on their instance

So much for Lemmy being all about diversity. lol

I wouldn't be surprised at all if this eventually happens to my communities, but so far the admin has been amazing and truly believes in diversity. But I'm sure that people will keep hammering on him.

well said! Just the fact that a lot of Lemmy says that "Reddit is too Right-Leaning" for them, tells you just how bad it is here. Reddit of all places, being too right leaning?! Give me a break! lololol Reddit is want of the biggest anti-conservative places out there. lol

Even my girlfriend, who hates Trump and conservatives, gets sick of all the anti-trump and anti-conservative stuff on reddit. lol

They legit stole his community from him. And then laughed about it. So much for Lemmy celebrating diversity.

But I'm happy to see that there are some more conservatives coming to Lemmy. !Conservative2@lemmy.today is a new comm started by a more moderate conservative.

He doesn't like me and was so annoyed by my community that he started his own. I don't mind it though and I think the more conservative voices the better.

I did warn him to be careful of takeovers and that he'll have to be sure to mod every single day or he can lose it. He wasn't super friendly to my advice though. But hopefully he sticks around.

He's about to find out just how hateful the alt-left of Lemmy can be though.

I have no reason not to behave.

I've posted to your community in good faith. Let me know if you would prefer me not to post there, and I can delete.

Glad to see ya here!

And guys, he actually started this community because he was annoyed by me, so he's not me. He's way more moderate, open-minded, and thoughtful than I am. Don't run him off.

Diversity of opinion, even if you don't personally like it, is good for Lemmy.
