Genocidal freaks just laying it all out. Smiling and saying every Israeli would push a button to kill every single Palestinian, and basically admitting it has nothing to do with hostages(I assume that's what the statement "even if it happens later" means).
Edit: They have a Twitter post saying this was taken out of context. What context could make this better?!?!
One of the early Bitcoin arguments was that it would help marginalized people in the global south who were cut off from traditional banking.
Fast forward to fairly recently, when some people in Palestine are using crypto to receive aid, Binance cut off access when Israel asked. No court orders necessary. Turns out crypto is easier to freeze than money in traditional banking.
Tor works on clearnet just fine. A lot of sites block tor exit nodes, or at least limit them from creating accounts, but that shouldn't matter here.
I will not touch grass, no matter how nice you make it sound
He's blowing it. I think this election, and probably every national election from here on out, will be won and lost on turnout. When the base is excited, they turn out.
He's definitely lost it, but even if you brought back 2016 Trump, it's all background noise now. In 2016 he said stuff that shocked most people, including republicans, today that stuff is not even as extreme as what the average republican congressperson tweets. He's been doing the same speeches for 8 years with minor changes.
I saw a YouTube video where someone who lives next to a covered bridge clipped together every truck that ignored the clearance signs and damaged the bridge. The description said there's a $5k fine for that.
The comments were full of, "This is a scam! They need to fix that bridge". Americans are so broken that personal freedom is now the right to destroy historic bridges without consequences.
I am so ready for local apples. Supermarket apples have been garbage lately. Even fujis, which are usually consistently mid, have been mealy trash.
I don't understand how someone can shit their pants and it be any thicker than milkshake consistency. I feel like I could hold back a poo that was clumpy forever.
Seymour Hersh's story about the killing of Osama Bin Laden said that was actually a rushed lie to cover up the fact that Pakistani intelligence had Bin Laden in a safehouse for months before the raid. According to the story, they actually got the DNA from a doctor that was treating Bin Laden, which honestly makes more sense to me.
The reason they had to rush to invent a lie about how they knew he was there was that they had intended to take him to the desert and say he was hit in a drone strike, and that they recovered his DNA afterward. But then they crashed a helicopter during the raid and had to make up a story that preserved the lie and the deal worked out with Pakistani intelligence.
It's a good read: https://www.lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v37/n10/seymour-m.-hersh/the-killing-of-osama-bin-laden
I have a nostalgic love of on-cor Salisbury steak, but I haven't had it for years.
For me what helped was finding ways to enjoy exercise and focusing on that. I think some of it almost was like self delusion at first, but now I legitimately enjoy my exercise routine. Treating it like some terrible tasting medicine you have to endure makes it easier to stop when you aren't in a great place. That's not to say that I don't still have days where I don't want to start, but once I get going I'm happy I did.
It's nice to have positive indicators of progress, but for some people it's difficult for that to be your sole motivation.
