Jesus Christ, get a room

That sounds kind of abusive, ngl

Yes, I usually do so at the end-of-the-year funding drive they always have between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The amount generally varies based on how much I’ve used it each year and how generous I feel, but I do think it’s a useful service, and I don’t want to see them having to resort to showing advertisements in order to pay their bills.

I did not argue that. I was just pointing out a funny edge case in the previous poster's argument.

That said, even actual vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, or potatoes are often boiled in water without the intention of making soup.

I wouldn't call it stock, but Italians do indeed use pasta water in many of their sauces. Makes sense because it's basically just starchy water, which helps to bind the sauce.

That said, you generally don't need more than one or two cups of it, the rest is still thrown out.

Have you ever cooked pasta?

When you're a billionaire or a famous actor, they let you get away with it.

I honestly can't believe he'll be turning 50 this year.

Uh, why wouldn't he be? Apparently he'll be turning 50 this year but he looks like he's 35 so he must be living a pretty healthy lifestyle.

Image upload broken? (self.lemmytoday)
submitted 1 year ago by MacNCheezus to c/lemmytoday

As of this afternoon, I am having trouble uploading images to Lemmy.today.

Regardless of client software used, I always receive the following error: "No such file or directory (os error 2)"

Is it just me or is anyone else having the same problem?

In case McDonald's corporate sees this: contact me via PM to negotiate royalty payments.
