War is the enemy of humanity and I'm going to be existentially disillusioned if I witness the start of another global conflict.
balatro and animal crossing activate the lizard part of my brain that tells me its time to kill
MGSV's secret event ending is really fuckin' cool and adjacent to the series' overarching politics. i'll spoil tag it but note it doesn't weigh in on the main plot all that much

you're able to break in to each other's bases as part of the multiplayer component and steal resources and staff, but also nukes. should the community come together and focus on stealing and disarming every single nuke from everyone else, aka the total amount of nukes hit zero, you unlock the nuclear disarmament event where your efforts of forcibly removing nukes from the world is celebrated. iirc this has never been triggered naturally due to people hoarding nukes
I like how flexible the base building mechanics are at least. Build cam and toggleable grid snapping are blessings not always seen in other games. There's also the thematic dissonance of a game about perpetually wandering and being lonely having bustling cities built by players.
Best base to build is a freighter base, imo, keeps in the theme of wandering.
SA:DX is a yearly replay for me, and the modding scene on PC is pretty healthy. Special mod shout out (beyond your quality of life stuff) is Chao Gameplay. Let's you take your Chao into levels and have them follow you. Their stats affect their ability to fly, keep up, and attack enemies.
I love no man's sky but I wish their content updates weren't so independent of one another. the settlements have been basically broken since they released and it's great they're getting a touch up update, but let's be real it's going to sink back into being a background mechanic you only ever visit when you want to see your settlement. why did they make settlements this entirely removed system from their preexisting building model. I'd much rather physically build a town than come across one.
I have essays worth of no man's sky takes, light no fire can't come soon enough

The Manifesto has been turned into a 20 minute rap, and now a visual novel. What other mediums can it cross?
softest take in the world but he has money, man. he doesn't need to be doing this. he and his family could go take a two week vacation in the most beautiful parts of the world right now. he could step away from the internet and the only consequence is his children get to see him more. he could be doing literally anything else in the world but he's choosing to crash out online defending zionism
what I wouldn't give to be in his position and how differently I'd behave. It boggles the mind
I'm not in the US, so my advice isn't very applicable. I think the job market is very different over there than it is where I'm from in Australia.
Still, might help you to know I worked my way into a full time WFH job with very little skills or relevant qualification. Full luck, I'm sure, but I applied for a data admin job and then worked my way into a more specialized role within the company. They can't get me back into the office now, I'm too entrenched.
Good luck with your search, finding a company that offers it isn't nearly as hard as landing the gig.
