Yeah, I think TV and movie communities would probably benefit even more than chat and ask communities by starting with content for people to see and not starting from scratch all over again.

It's a pity that piefed doesn't add to the subscriber count yet (I never knew that) but personally as a user looking for a place to sub to, I'm looking at the amount of content more than the subscriber count.

Definitely. I only got easy internet in my pocket after school. Before that, I was raised by Sonic the Hedgehog and Captain Planet in my childhood years, and punk rock in my teenage years. And it was never a phase, mom.

No :( And it's 100% on account of never having the cash for it That's especially as far as tattoos go because they're fkn expensive.

I did have a safety pin in my ear for a really short time lol. I've had my nose pierced twice. I had my eyebrow pierced. I tried a home job of piercing my lip years ago but it swelled up too much for the actually jewelry I had for it, so that didn't happen. Mostly I'd lose the piercing or part of it that screws in or whatever, then not have the cash on hand to replace it. So.

I'm dying to start getting tattooed though and I'd love to get pierced again. Especially my nose, specifically a selection of pretty studs to choose from, maybe a ring for certain occasions. And I'd love to get some lobe piercings this time. This is all highly dependent on me getting my shit together though.

Edit: I don't mean lobe stretching, I mean lots of piercings along the edges of my ears, whatever that's called.

Knee injuries really suck. For me, it was an opportunity to rock a snazzy walking stick though lol. Hope you heal well, if that was recent.

With this community migration feature, Piefed seems like the sensible choice every time a community needs to move now.

Ah fuck of course they've gotta try ruin this too. Definitely good to know, even if just to look out for.

Hope this fits here. Not really a funny meme. Was split between here or !witchesvspatriarchy@lemmy.ca, I keep drifting between thinking the two communities should merge and liking them separate.

Anyway, I thought that the awesome people in either community would find this interesting or cool. I see potential tattoo ideas here, personally. Let me know if there's somewhere better for this.

Nothing. You'll have to pry it out of me. Unless we're talking about social media, in which case I think I have a bad habit of saying too much.

Would be awesome if there was a way to do this with user accounts as well. Especially with news like this, that's a missing piece of this federation business. Because even once you've settled on lan instance, there's no guarantee it's going to stay open long term. And it kinda sucks on the user's end to lose all your comment and post history like that. And saved posts.

Not that I blame that on any admins, I can understand their decision. Just riffing about the user experience here in the Fediverse. If you can re-index communities and posts therein, that gives me hope that you could potentially do that with a user account.

Some of these, some of the time, not all at the same. And I think that can depend on if I've had my morning coffee yet or if I'm having one of those days where I don't want to get out of bed.
