getting rid of smoking inside of restaurants and bars

my state was early to that so I don't remember it much really, but holy shit yeah. I recently ran across an anecdote from someone probably 15 years older than I am and I could smell the place just reading about it online. Something about how in college his buddies would go and all smoke cigars in the basement dining room of the local pizza joint, but after a while the staff asked them to stop... so they switched to cigarettes and that was of course fine

Those crappy 2000s era phones that filled the void between old school cellphones and smartphones

I liiiiked those, at least the later ones

I probably didnt have one long enough for it to break down or for me to get sick of it though. blackberries were much better in most ways but expensive and not exactly tanks themselves.

everything else is real as fuck but also very much problems of the digital age, created by the digital age lol

some states let you buy them online some don't. Even in states that "don't" you can usually find some identical ones marketed as being veterinary insulin needles that everyone says are fine, but I haven't tried them personally. Lotta states let you buy them in person without a prescription, though the pharmacist might give you a hard time if its a chuddy area. As a fallback, reach out to harm reduction orgs in your area and see where they get theirs/if you can get some, because they will have some. A variety of sizes should work in a pinch so don't stress about getting the exact right gauge and length as long as its close, though you will probably have preferences.

What do you mean by larger/oddly proportioned? Do you have a larger waist? If you have a pair of jeans at home that fit you well, I'd recommend starting with measuring those

yeah mostly I just mean fat/tall but also trans so potentially some weirdness in several dimensions. I wouldn't say I have any pairs that fit great tbh, though of course the ones with some stretch are very comfy they're no good for durability or getting a transferable measurement. but I have an idea of my size and can always take more measurements and try a few different pairs/sizes if they're not ludicrously priced

I guess I had conflated unwashed/unsanfordized with raw denim in my head, good to know

ironically a lot of the slowness of firefox w/ublock is, afaik, due to youtube/google fighting the adblocker and attempting to degrade the experience. I find it's plenty fast on other sites, but leave open a few youtube tabs and it goes to shit after a while

mostly directly from levis ngl. relaxed or "relaxed straight" fit, ideally non-stretch, but the stretch ones can be more comfy sometimes. It's overpriced but I only ever seem to have a couple favored pairs at a time until they wear out, so the cost per year is still low (I have a wider variety of shorts in rotation in the summer, mainly thrifted, but winter is depression season).

This is because ordering on larger sites like ebay or amazon, or literally anywhere that isnt direct from a manufacturer, I not only have to struggle and often fail to find exactly what I want, not a similar looking thing that is actually a new style that doesn't fit me, but I also have to take the >50% chance what I ordered is going to be a cheap knockoff not the real thing. So at this point brands with a consistent product line, not new slight variations every 3-6 months win out for me, even if they are more expensive. I'd buy more in store but stores around here rarely carry my size.

I have to admit that I'm an annoying raw denim guy

I have so many questions ngl. I'd ask the annoying raw denim people in my life but a) I don't know anyone that into it and b) they're annoying.

where do you get them? any example brands that might actually have larger/oddly proportioned sizes?

And how do you wear them in/shrink them to fit or whatever its called? Is it just the fit that's better, or do you feel like the quality is also better/longer lasting vs regular off the shelf jeans?
