Not quite as funny as the chud who included ice cream made from his tradwife's breast milk as part of his homesteading fantasy

On AliExpress they're 40 bucks or less

The story and what they did to all the characters was terrible.

This is basically how I feel about all FFVII media after the original game. Just completely lacking the tone and charm

Live reaction of general US and European moviegoing audiences in 1998 trying to comprehend the nonsense that is Advent Children

confusion

Wouldn't have done much better than Spirits Within probably. Both movies are boring, unwatchable garbage

This time I was left stranded about 10 km from home and I had to walk the bike to a friend's house. Usually, the punctures I get are so small that the air escapes slowly enough that I can get all the way home only to discover a completely flat tire the next day.

Anyway, I decided to try patching the tube instead of replacing it this time which proved to be much less of a hassle and something that I could do on the road in the future, so it was a valuable experience

That's actually not a tire in the photo- it's the basement floor. I took the picture after digging out the piece of glass out of my tire. My actual tires look pretty similar to this

Those CO2 cannisters are lighter than the pump and can be used in a pinch if necessary.

Those battery-powered bike pumps can be really tiny, like less than 200 grams tiny.

I bought the bike used but the tires it came with are pretty pristine. Would hate to have to buy new ones already. If this becomes a regular occurrence, I might have to swap out at least the tire on the rear wheel though. I might also start carrying a patching kit and one of those electric mini bike pumps in my backpack

Also it looks like local shops don't stock 26 x 2.0

I rode a bike with mostly slick city tires for years without a single puncture, then I had incredibly shitty luck and in the span of a few months managed to hit like 6 glass shards. I just got this bike a few weeks ago agony-wholesome

That is how it should be. Sexuality for enjoyment not profit. I don't have a problem with this.

You don't have a problem with sentencing people to 10 years in prison for writing and selling gay smut? brow

Looks like this guy didn't kidnap people off the street, rather he contacted suicidal people on Twitter offering to help them die and they went to his house willingly wtf

This game looks so incredibly Tintin and euro-coded I'm honestly shocked it was made by Americans

When emulating games on an Android phone, I've noticed a few systems, like PS1 and PSP, suffering from intermittent stutters, usually when loading sound effects or music. On Duckstation you can see the FPS drop to half for about a second when this happens. I initially chalked this up to issues with the emulators themselves or my phone not being exactly top of the line, but then I thought about the nature of the stutters and began to wonder if the problems were caused by the ROMs being stored on an SD card.

I moved a game that had stuttering issues to the phone's internal storage and sure enough, the stutters were gone. Would getting a faster SD card help? Here are the card's stats:

  • Speed Class: 10 (10 MB/s)
  • UHS Speed Class: Class 1 (10MB/s)
  • UHS Bus Speed: UHS-1 (Up to 104MB/s)

It isn't exactly top of the line either, being the cheapest one I could get for the size and quite old on top of that. On the other hand, I also came across posts where people were saying SD card read speeds on Android are just generally bad, especially on more recent versions were they are hampered by some kind of new file access system.

I checked the Japanese script and they specifically translated this thing's name as Pulse-Inferno Typhoon Omega to set up the Ford Pinto joke. This game's localisation is so 90s SquareSoft there was even an unironic usage of the word "bodacious"

8 chicken wusses out of 10

Resident Evil's post-RE7 success has been so great that it even somehow managed to convince Konami into making good Silent Hill games again. What's your excuse?

Actually, I think it's probably that the series has only ever been moderately financially successful and as such KT probably doesn't consider it worth investing into more than the two ports of Wii and WiiU games we got sicko-wistful

It's been two years since the Mask of the Lunar Eclipse remaster and there hasn't been a peep about the franchise since agony-wholesome

I can't help but imagine how incredible a new Project Zero game on the level of a modern RE game or the Silent Hill 2 remake could be (Yes, I have seen the Silent Hill F trailer but no, a Shinto shrine alone does not a Project Zero game make)

If a new Project Zero/Fatal Frame game ends up being made I can only hope that whatever weird perverts that were behind Maiden of Black Water are let nowhere near the development process

I'm not saying it will never happen but just wait and see where we are in like 5 years. People are acting like they'll be able to play the new Mario Kart on their computer this time next year

Who knows what kind of nasty DRM they've got running this time around even if people can find a way to hack the console and dump games

My guy is an expert level simp 07

I didn't realise just how lovely 90s anime comedy skits being rendered in PS1 JRPG silent film form could be chefs-kiss

The two frame animation of her banging on the fucking door, it's like a shitpost michael-laugh

What an incredible little game this continues to be, A+

I specifically mean games or series that featured some kind of niche subculture/activity/lifestyle that appealed to teens and young adults as opposed to ones that were just fads among kids like Pokemon in the 90s or toys-to-life games in the 2010s or just generally popular games

DDR (no, not that one) probably counts as one, though that might've been mostly confined to Japanese arcades

Does this sort of thing even happen anymore? I assume these days youngins just play Fortnite, Call of Duty Warzone or whatever else instead of extreme sports or rhythm games

Wait WTF do you mean I can hit kids but can't muff dive?!

This is the worst thing I've read all day

Edit: So I tried doing what I always do when I see one of these outrage farming video titles saying the woke games media is having a "meltdown" and tried to find evidence of said meltdown, and... yeah, couldn't find any. Some early access reviews have criticised the character editor for lack of gender and body customisation options but nothing that would qualify as a massive backlash

I can't believe it shocked-pikachu

Why is this toddler in the army???

Such a tonal whiplash to get a scene like this after a cutscene where a rebel faction is doing a pogrom on an ethnic minority, with fleeing civilians being shot on-screen

I know the reason is that most Japanese media is aimed at the youth and all these school-age protagonists are meant to be relatable to the target audience. (They also romanticise the fuck out of high school over there for various reasons)

The older I get the weirder it feels watching cutesy anime kids going to literal war. Idk, maybe I'm overly sensitive or something. It also always has vaguely fascist undertones to me

Presented in W I D E screen

I love how the lady sniper in this scene was the only character with human proportions

I've been playing some more Gears Tactics and it's a pretty great turn-based tactics game, in essence Xcom with the base management and strategy layers stripped out and replaced with more gore and aggression

Anyway, playing this I remembered those bizarre Ubisoft-developed Mario + Rabbids crossover tactics games for the Switch. Are those any good? They sound like such a weird novelty I might check them out

It's like if Monster Hunter or Yakuza were on the original PlayStation

What I mean by this is that we've reached a point where you can see a Youtube video shot in 2017 and it's not immediately obvious the footage you're seeing is almost a decade old. In 2017 you would've immediately been able to tell a video was from 2009 just from the video and audio quality alone

spoiler...or the Windows Movie Maker intro

Youtube often recommends me random old animal videos and it's a weird feeling when you look at a dog in a video that looks like it was shot yesterday and then at the upload date nearly 10 years ago and realise the dog's probably dead as shit

Of course, this doesn't account for cultural temporal signifiers like someone making an Amogus reference or something but it's still something I sometimes like to think about thinking-about-it

It's incredible how much Gears Tactics just looks like an average Gears of War game but from a top-down perspective, like this could be a level or multiplayer map in any Gears game. The series has always been about boxy maps with conspicuous amounts of chest-high walls evenly placed everywhere and even in terms of gameplay it feels like Gears of War in turn-based form. This has far better synergy with its parent franchise than those Halo RTS games

Overall it seems like a fun side game and I'm surprised Microsoft would even make something this cool. My biggest complaint is that I can't savescum since there are no manual saves ooooooooooooooh

Grr woke grr politics
