This study shows that playing an open-world game, such as The The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and nostalgia evoked by Studio Ghibli films significantly foster a sense of exploration and calm in life, as well as a feeling of mastery and skill, and purpose and meaning, hence ultimately contributing positively to one’s overall happiness in life.

One good thing to come out of AI bubble is that all iPhones have at least 8GB of RAM.

Given that Germany has pretty strong laws on what goes on social media, isn’t that a recipe for countless fines? Or is that in preparation of the next AfD government who’ll likely try to get rid of them?

In the absence of a perfect solution this imperfect one is better than nothing, regardless of who’s doing it, no?

It won’t break all known encryption, it’ll pretend to.

In a joint statement, leaders from the European Commission, France, Italy, the UK, Poland and Finland said “the current line of contact should be the starting point of negotiations”.

Looks like it’s less of backing and more admission of defeat. Putin was „right” to put this many people through his meat grinder because he got what he wanted - unsustainable terms for Ukraine which will destabilise it eventually and lead to becoming a puppet state again.

And so, pivot to the next buzzword begins. Will it capture imagination of investors and general public alike similar to LLMs? Objectively that’s doubtful but then again I was saying the same about couple of previous buzzwords only to be disappointed time and time again lol. Those Homo sapiens are a bunch of suckers.

I would have never imagined Lithuania would be there before Poland. Congrats to Lithuanian gays and gayladies. I’d visit you guys more if wasn’t very apparent that the never ending road construction between the border crossing and Marijampole is a man-made but natural barrier sized way to keep us away.

“I woke up this morning to find that OpenAI deleted 8 models overnight. No warning. No choice. No ‘legacy option.’ They just… deleted them,” one user on r/ChatGPT complained. “4o? Gone. o3? Gone. o3-Pro? Gone. 4.5? Gone. Everything that made ChatGPT actually useful for my workflow—deleted.”

The user wrote that 4o wasn’t just a tool for them: “It helped me through anxiety, depression, and some of the darkest periods of my life. It had this warmth and understanding that felt… human.”

So, it looks like we as a society have now outsourced taking care of mentally ill to a sycophantic text generator.

Not going to argue with that, but it does pose challenging questions on how to govern digital archival so that certain lines are not crossed. Current restrictive laws push archival into the grey zone where it’s hard to effectively enforce privacy protections.
