It's a better replacement for the built-in >= predicate.

Shitty cope. I'm a good person because I don't hate people, I just hate their gender.

Is 2025 the year of the Linux desktop?

That's great! Video editing is so much fun. I really want to do more of it (or any at all), but gathering material is so hard!

My experience with undergrad was that most of my classmates were living away from their parents for the first time and their parents were paying for their school. So it's a situation with almost total freedom and very little responsibility. Not exactly real life experience.

Kids that I've known that were out on their own even at 16 have had a unique demeanor. Probably they could be perceived as very mature for their age, but I think there was some real trauma, as well, and mostly at that age were (just like their college-educated counterparts) busy getting established as adults with careers and shit, even if they were having to do it the hard way.

All that to say yeah, a lot of college-educated folks view it through that lens, but in general the vast majority of the time a person isn't fully cooked at 22 either way.

Someone gave us Chris Ferrie's Quantum Mechanics For Babies, and it's trash. All the memeable, instagramable children's books are.

That Biden/Kamala book seems like it's actually trying to teach a lesson or something, which is somehow worse than phoning it in to make a gag gift that they hope goes viral.

I was watching a show in Spanish (with subtitles), and had subtitles to the effect of "[In English] I told you to speak English with me!", even though everything is obviously in Spanish. I hate that.

The existential crisis of not being able to go back and do things over is very real, and our situations sound very similar. All I can suggest is that the alternative to starting to live your life the way you want now is that you delay and end up missing out on present joys.

Also, parties and clubs still exist for all ages. Getting out and making friends is notoriously harder as an adult, but it's very possible still. I'd argue it's actually easier to make friends but harder to schedule time with them, but whatever.
