to be fair, the unbelievably tiny concessions given to the ruling class are nonetheless still essential to a ton of people's lives. we should be organizing alternatives that are less fickle

When neoliberalism finishes consuming the welfare state it just starts dismantling everything else and it turns into self destruction and it loses legitimacy. A surprisingly underlooked aspect of the capitalist mode of production even throughout the apogee of neoliberalism post 1990 is its loss of legitimacy within nations and reliance on intervention from the bourgeois state

When people say that the entire first world is bourgeois labor they miss how many workers are destituted by auto payments, medicine, insurance, housing, and everything else that recoups the labor time they participate in stealing from the global south, how much it is shrinking. This is our opportunity.
