actually, you've been assistant manager for a location of a company that recently went into liquidation for the last three years
i guess i could ask for people to help me lie, but im anxious that'd negatively impact them somehow. like idk the person im trying to employ at contacts the company and tells them the person was lying for me. idk how founded that fear is but anxiety's crazy.
It doesn't need to be somewhere they've actually worked at, you could find a company that recently went under and say you had been working there. This is probably a lot more extravagant than what you would need to go through but I once asked someone how they got their first job in IT and they said they registered a fake LLC and claimed they had been working for that company for the past several years and had a friend listed as one of the employees.
ig im worried about how that'd look on linkedin, then
not sure how easy it is to list fake businesses and such there
Oh it's super easy. Most places won't go through the effort of verifying half the information on your resume. I had a coworker who just straight up lied about having their degree.
I didn't even need to lie about that people just assumed i had one and i didn't correct them lol
There is a good chance that they don't call your references, if they even ask for them in the first place.
i logically know this, because i know they don't really care and you can just lie, but anxiety is crazy lmao
remember that every company lies to you. every company I ever worked for did
