Spiro has ruined my ability to sleep through the night. I have to pee every two to three hours, no exceptions.
I've basically accepted that I'm now biphasic and need a siesta to get through the day. π
i can't sleep either but i don't think it has to do with me peeing too much
Woah! What dose are you on? Spiro makes me pee more, but not that much!
100mg twice a day! Lower doses just aren't that effective for me, I always produced a lot of t.
Have you considered a T blocker that won't wring out your bladder like a wet rag?
Not sure my insurance would cover it? I guess I probably should check at my next appointment.

damn, I thought 200mg was standard ... I was on 300mg for a few years before switching to CPA this week... does that mean I am a T deity of some kind??

I think 200 is a standard start and then a lot of girls go down after that - not sure though!
Yeah I'm not an endocrinologist! I know I was high T, but also high aromatase, so I'd actually already been biosynthesizing it into E before I even started (and, in hindsight, my comfort with that fact probably should have been interpreted as a sign I'm trans lol)
Have you tried being dehydrated when you go to sleep? /j
Are you sure you don't have any other sleep issues preventing deep sleep (such as sleep apnea)? Granted, 200mg/day sound like a lot, so doesn't seem that unexpected to need to pee at night if you are staying hydrated.

Leg cramps can be fun, but not when trying to sleep. I had some problems with those night cramps when starting spiro - one night I couldn't just walk it out, so I had to drink water if I wanted to sleep (I did try to sleep while just ignoring the cramp, but that wasn't successful). Made me kinda glad my brain often seems to discards pain signals. Fortunately, haven't had night cramps in the last few months.
yeah I always just get up, put some weight on it, and drink a glass of water and it goes away. I like drinking water so I don't see it as a "have to", but its always painful and disorienting to wake up to, and then I have to crawl out of bed while trying not to bend my leg and exacerbate the cramp.
If I don't already have water, it's annoying having to find my cup (which might require turning on a light), go to the kitchen to refill (which requires dealing with the fridge light), and then try to fall back asleep after that. I'm generally not good at falling asleep, so if I can avoid getting up or turning on lights, the better chance of falling back asleep quickly. Getting up like that might cost hours of sleep time.

I live alone in a small place so stumbling over to the sink in the dark and drinking out of whatever glass I last used and left on the counter is pretty easy and far preferable to trying to just ignore the cramp for me but I feel that, if the cramp weren't painful especially
I feel pretty rested throughout the day (as long as I get my siesta), so I don't think I'm missing out on deep sleep. I just, without fail, wake up every 2-3 hours because I'm gonna pop. It's clockwork. Then, after I wake up the second time, I can never get back to sleep. Hence, the siesta.
I do stay well hydrated too - I sleep through the night once in a while because some days when not working I don't chug water. I'm factory labor though so I'm usually going throughmore than 0.5-1.0 gallons a day. That wasn't an issue before the spiro though!
