Is it common to open with dick pic and then "hey" because that build order doesn't work on the hetero apps

Dickpic opener is an old meta, it got solved when people figured out the "screenshot-and-send-to-their-wife" tech. It might work against an inexperienced dater, but at that point you're not even gaining Elo.
It does work a lot more often in this context
