They need to be rehoused within 9 days and are struggling to find another place to apply to move into. They urgently need funds for all sorts of moving-related expenses, including a deposit for a new home and paying off this months' rent and utilities funds. I was just on call with Mem until 4am, they have been through and is going through so much, yet they still asked me how I am doing and was so caring and supportive towards me despite the fact if they, their roomate and cat can’t get somewhere to live ASAP, due to their disability, they will very likely die (they are waiting to hear back from a place on Monday, and it apparently costs hundreds of money to apply to rent at places, wtf)
and in fact, despite being in so much stress and need themselves they give to other mutual aid asks when they can and amplify them whenever they could. That kindness really made a permanent impact on me and I aspire to be more like Mem.
Personally I haven’t been able to sleep because I just wish Mem and everyone in need can get the resources they need to survive, but this isn’t about me but Mem’s survival.
