s3&k is absolutely my favourite sonic game of all time (spinball close second IMO because of the music) but I will admit to being a little bit blinded by nostalgia

mania is nostalgiaslop with no soul of it's own
agree I played it once but I can't go back to it. I would call that speedslop personally
not having a speed dash button hurts me in s1, but some of the music is fire, but I want to skip spring yard every time
play it for 500 hours so you can get your speedrun strats down
but I just want to play Sonic 1, itβs my comfort game.
