Are wide hips a meme? Is a wide pelvis as a feminine thing overemphasised and untrue?
nah I think it's totally a thing. generally wider shoulders to hip ratio is more attractive as a man to women and vice versa
I think I read a study while I was cis and researching weird male/female body shit cause I unknowingly had dysphoria
staring at women with wide hips and getting big sad and also big horny and also big dysphoric
I want to be her and kiss her...![emoji lea-finger-guns lea-finger-guns](https://hexbear.net/pictrs/image/6d2713e4-7408-41d6-994b-db7f16954357.png)
this is transgender
Well of course the societal perception is the fuckin, "child birthing hips" meme but like, how true is it actually that say, cis women have a wider pelvis than trans women? Also "hips" tends to vary, whether it's "pelvic width" or "the widest point at the top of the femur" which is a whole thing.
hormones don't affect bones once you're fully grown so it's probably true![emoji shrug-outta-hecks shrug-outta-hecks](https://www.hexbear.net/pictrs/image/7cc4b291-507e-4aa2-9ba6-35d81eb4a08a.png)
A little fat on the hips and thighs and butt goes a long way though, and you can definitely get that after your bones are done doing bone stuff.
All my cis woman relatives have wider hips than me (in relation to the rest of their bodies), and this happened to them during puberty. Trans women who transition very young also often experience hip growth like this.
Skinny hips aren't end of the world though. I usually hide mine under skirts and dresses and poofy pants that make me look like a Toriyama character.
unreasonably sad and off topic
Why couldn't I have transitioned very young :cri:yeah...
There's always a younger youngshit, and I'm really happy for them for having an environment where that is possible, but alsoI am also somewhat of a small hips enthusiast![emoji power-genius power-genius](https://www.hexbear.net/pictrs/image/12261447-1d05-421a-9255-ef080d607563.png)
I don't know but damn I want them
They're definitely nice![emoji crush crush](https://www.hexbear.net/pictrs/image/328825a8-3d08-4c6d-b58a-7d175c3662e6.png)
I wouldn't say it's untrue persay, but I feel like the idea that women have pelvises that are wider than their shoulders is.
Yeah I can count on one hand the amount of women I've ever seen whose hips extend past their shoulders tbh!
Most body types vary so much imo it is a meme. I've seen all sorts of varying body types. It goes the same with height and other body part related stuff in my book. People do have preferences sometimes but not everyone does. As someone on the acespec spectrum I don't view people as body parts lol I dunno I am a personality person or for whats inside.. It would be a red flag for me if someone was going on about a specific body part but then I've seen all sorts of what I deem strange.. What it boils down to though is I have also seen people site these "preferences" as a way to discriminate or to try to exclude or invalidate than actually believe them.. aka "no wide hips no pass" kind of rhetoric
