Okay chat, guess what time it is? ITS STARDEW VALLEY POSTING TIME.
I made so much money this summer, literally couldn't spend it fast enough. I now have a level 2 coop, a barn, (4 chickens/2 cows) and my kitchen! I maxed my backpack as well, and randomly got a yellow shirt?! I actually have no idea how that happened but its cute. Finally at level 40 in the mines, so I'm starting to get iron (have upgraded most tools to copper by now too). Also got an omni egg that is cooking. I'm on like the last day of summer with 30k ready for fall.
I feel like I have made so much more progress then I did on prior attempts, and like I'm getting more done every in game day. I am looking for advice on what to spend my money on in fall, obviously I need to start thinking about winter and what I'll be doing/how to make money then. With 30k I can obviously get a lot of seeds but I don't have much iron for sprinkers yet, plus should I look at some other purchases?
spoiler
Oh also there's mystery boxes?! I don't remember that. Haven't found one yet but excited to see what that is.edit: Chat is 300 pumpkin seeds a bad idea?
yeah that's all well and good but have you met anyone nice yet? you need to settle down with a nice girl eventually, young woman.
My social life did take a bit of a hit this summer, but I still gave Abigail and Leah some gifts. I know there's more girls to find/talk with but those are just two I see often.
I got the kitchen though, can't settle down without that!
S-tier choices, hun. Can't go wrong with a goth or a woodcarver
Pumpkins sell well. They're one of the highest profit crops for Fall. At 300 seeds it's easily 70-100k+ after seed costs, depending on your farming skill level and fertilizers used. You should have time for 2 harvests so you can double that for the season.
For purchases, make sure you have a silo or 2 so you can start cutting grass for hay to feed your animals in the winter. You don't want to have to buy it from Marnie all Winter. Oh and you'll want to buy a heater for each coop/barn. Otherwise, keep up with your tool upgrades. Watering Can upgrades are better than sprinklers until you can consistently make the next level of sprinkler imo. I only use those iron sprinklers for things that require a trellis (grapes, hops, green beans). Maybe get a stable/horse?
Ooh, yea I need to remember fertilizer this time.
I'm working on one silo now, I might need two though yea. I feel like I already have quite a few animals and space for more. How good are heaters? The tooltip seemed a little vague but I do plan on buying them. Just grabbed to the steel watering can actually! Yea I wondered how the iron sprinkers were, they seemed kind of bad for how many crops I plan on planting.
It takes about 1 full silo to feed 8 animals for the entire winter. You can math out how many you need from that.
Heaters keep your animals happier in the winter which means higher quality produce.
Watering can is usually what I upgrade first since it just saves so much time.
sounds like a lot of pumpkins
It is a lot, I think it'll actually end up being more like 200. I upgraded my watering can and am now a little poorer.
