I don't know but I just want to say that I'm supposed to discuss pay with my boss this week and I have no idea how much to ask her and I could use some help figuring that out if anyone wants to after you've gotten your answer

Sounds about right with some wiggle room to talk them down a few hundred. It's specialized work and doing it right takes time. You might see if you can do some of the demo by yourself to save some money.
Hard to say without a picture. Did they say how many days it would take to complete? Thatll give you an idea of they're bullshitting you.
My first thought is it's not ridiculous, maybe see if you can knock em down to $4k
