Fruit Trenches: Cultivating Subtropical Plants in Freezing Temperatures

During the first half of the twentieth century, Soviet citrologists grew (sub)tropical plants in temperatures as low as minus 30 degrees Celsius – outdoors, and without the use of glass or any fossil fuel-powered assistance. )

I propose that we make the logistics of transporting tropical fruits more sustainable by using a system of tensile structures to pull ships across the ocean — "giant kites", if you will, made of hemp cloth and using the power of the wind. The hulls of cargo ships can also be made more sustainable by using wood where possible, rather than metal.

...Could you please stop staring at my hand-made sustainable artisanal leg prosthetic‽ My eye is up here!
