Equating Biden to Trump in any way is next level bullshit. Biden as a choice is meh leaning towards yucky. Trump as a choice is a stage four bone cancer, broken glass in rectum, testicular torsion, kidney stone mega combo.

To be fair, stage four is the new stage three

Ehhh, I'd rate Biden as a stage-1 low to medium risk cancer. Treatable, but not a pleasant experience.

Trump is very accurate, maybe add in some liver failure and some bleeding out of every hole.

The vote is for a fascist or not a fascist; it doesn't seem like a hard choice really.

[–] butwhyishischinabook@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

It's not a hard choice, and everyone should make that easy choice this November. Still, that doesn't make it easy to plug your nose and do it.

He seems more reasonable by the day.

Unfortunately he's got just as high a chance of winning. 😔

That was a good movie. Recommended.

The credits "freeze" absolutely freaked out Martin Scorsese.

Which is a prequel to "X", which should be watched first. The sequel "Maxxxine" will also be out this year.

Yup. That's me. I hate all my options but I show up every time.

There's more than two names on the ballot. You can vote third-party.

(Most of the third-party options also suck.)

[–] multifariace@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

This is not entirely true. There are states that outlaw other parties on their ballots. Do not underestimate the powers that thwart any semblance of democracy.

Last time I looked, third parties made the major parties look good. None of the candidates seem like people who I want running the country, but major parties can, at least, publish a consistent plan for what they want to accomplish.

Yeah. I don't like the Libertarians. I don't like Jill Stein. The Communist Party of the USA are so useless that they're endorsing Joe Biden.

Cornell West is running for president, which is nice, but he's running as an independent, not with a party.

I think the best option is Cornell West for president and the Greens for down ballot.
