Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Gotta love an useless article: "trump might debate Kamala... or he might not"

[–] Rayspekt@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Yeah what do you do when your subject of reporting is uttering useless bullshit.

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago (1 children)

You stop wasting time, effort, and space documenting his every inane uttering.

[–] Rayspekt@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Well he is the running candidate for potus, so people might be interested about his rambling; if only to see that he is a nutjob.

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago

Nope. Everyone who wants to already knows. At this point it's extremely difficult NOT to even if you're actively trying.

To add an inconsequential non-story like this is taking up energy and attention that could be used elsewhere without giving ANYTHING in return.

[–] lightnsfw@reddthat.com 0 points 3 months ago

Everyone who would understand that already knows.

[–] PP_BOY_@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

The article isn't "Trump may or may not debate Harris," it's "Trump said 'I may or may not debate Harris.'" Two different articles, one deserving to be printed and the other not.

Translation: "I'm going to delay and make every excuse for as long as possible, and only debate her if all of that fails."

[–] evatronic@lemm.ee 5 points 3 months ago

He's in the part of the plan where he delays.

Next up: legal challenges to Harris being on the ballot. However silly or spurious or quickly they're tossed out, it'll be the next excuse for not debating.

By then, well, it's too close to the election, some early voting has started, and it wouldn't be fair to debate now, see...

[–] just_another_person@lemmy.world 25 points 3 months ago (1 children)

He's never said anything of substance. He can't possibly debate someone who is all substance.

He's afraid.

Honestly, he pulled this shit in the past two elections, and I hope Harris just shows up and answers questions. Free air time.

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

He can't possibly debate someone who is all substance.

Or Kamala Harris, for that matter.

[–] Fedizen@lemmy.world 14 points 3 months ago

lol he afraid

[–] chemicalprophet@lemm.ee 13 points 3 months ago

On brand for this imbecile’s coward.

[–] Lasherz12@lemmy.world 11 points 3 months ago

Coward pretends to be in control while still cowering.

[–] dephyre@lemmy.world 8 points 3 months ago

"Maybe I will debate her, maybe I won't, maybe go fuck yourself."

Diaper stockpiles at Mar a Lago are falling faster than replacement rate.

[–] TipRing@lemmy.world 7 points 3 months ago

Hiding in ambiguity, I see. He thinks that by saying maybe he can deflect attacks for not debating Harris. "I never said I wouldn't debate her."

But he won't debate her.

[–] ObstreperousCanadian@lemmy.ca 6 points 3 months ago
[–] GiddyGap@lemm.ee 5 points 3 months ago

Lol. I don't think he will. He has nothing to win and everything to lose. Harris will absolutely wipe the floor with Trump on that stage and he knows it.

[–] HubertManne@moist.catsweat.com 5 points 3 months ago

is that what mealy mouth means then?

[–] Geobloke@lemm.ee 5 points 3 months ago

He's just saying shit to get free air time, he also needs Harris out of the lime light. He did this for the Republican debates as well

[–] morphballganon@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

Testing the waters

[–] kikutwo@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

The only case for not is him getting his ass handed to him.

[–] TheBigBrother@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

Maybe is a good strategy to avoid debating with her, avoiding giving her attention could be good for his campaign.

[–] sun_is_ra@sh.itjust.works 6 points 3 months ago (1 children)

He was coming strong in front of Biden. if he back down now he'd appear scared
