same guys will be like "cock carousel! frothingfash" when finding out a girl they want has been with 4 guys before him

[–] DankZedong@lemmygrad.ml 28 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Always baffled me how guys will try to find out stuff like that only to get mad at the answer. Like, don't ask then? God forbid a woman actually has and enjoys sex before she knew of your existence.

If a woman had lots of sex before meeting someone, and that someone was chosen afterward, shouldn't that be a vote of confidence and a good thing because someone experienced in sex has chosen them now?

Maybe my le man card application never arrived in the mail because I don't get it.

The Society of MEN didn't bother to send your application because you were not worthy to apply.

That's part of why we're comrades.

They genuinely believe in the double standards, so pointing it out doesn't even work.

Loving another woman more than your woman is not even cheating as long you don’t cum in her.

Sorry, I make the rules

[–] bennieandthez@lemmygrad.ml 7 points 2 months ago

At this point, why not just be in an open relationship? Do they really derive so much thrill from hiding their sex life at the risk of losing their most cherished emotional bond in the world and ruining their kids' entire lives?

[–] MeowZedong@lemmygrad.ml 14 points 2 months ago

It's about underlying misogyny and power dynamics. They don't cheat because they want an open relationship.

These types of men feel fundamentally entitled to women (and often the world). They want power over women, not to be equal partners. Add in a dose of sexism, and you tend to get these types of attitudes about infidelity. It's not always a matter of being consciously aware of what you are doing and why. Some cheaters of this type don't even realize they harbor sexist thoughts (instead of red pills, they may be white knights).

Frankly, it can happen with anyone, not just cishet men. People have even done PhD dissertations on this topic.

Reminds me of someone I saw the other day poking at the "men are visual creatures" nonsense by pointing out how many men fail to be even remotely tidy in their living spaces. Helps show how inconsistent the narratives about "man traits" are.

These things are like scripts written and taught to men from a young age, which can then be called upon by the more selfish or predatory men in order to justify their actions as inevitable and normal. I must have had a decent upbringing in this way cause I've always hated gender stereotypes, for as long as I can remember. Probably helps, too, that there are some distinct ways in which my mom acts more like a stereotypical man and my dad acts more like a stereotypical woman. So I guess it was kinda self-evident there was some BS going on there with the narratives.

i hope someone sends their girlfriends these shit tweets
